Class 6-Man Week 7 League Breakdown
This week in the Central league it looks like it’s a non-league week. The one game of interest is North Park traveling to South Park. North Park is trying to get their season back on track after starting the season with two solid wins they should be able to grab a victory this weekend. The Central league title has already been clinched by Hanover and now they are working on improving their seeding for the playoffs. They have any easy game this week against Manzanola. I only see the two automatic qualifiers getting in from this league. The #2 team has already locked up an automatic berth as well and that is Genoa Hugo. This league has a small chance at getting three teams in just depends on the wildcard points.

The East Central league is all over the place this year. Seems every week a team is upset by a lower team in the standings and that happened last week as well. Idalia was sitting at 3-1 in league and hoping to keep pace with the league leader. They were upset by Flagler 36 to 24 and now are sitting at 3-2 in league and hoping for an upset of Arickaree/Woodlin. Arickaree/Woodlin stayed undefeated in league play with a nice win over Hi Plains 50 to 16. This week with a win Arickaree/Woodlin will lock up an automatic berth and more than likely the league crown. The game to watch out for are Otis traveling to Stratton/Liberty. Otis and Stratton/Liberty both are sitting at 2-2 and need a win to tie Idalia who has a non-league game this week. Otis should be able to grab a victory but nothing is for certain in this league. Hi Plains should be able to move past Bethune this weekend and also move to 3-2 making the playoff picture even more diluted. It really depends this week on who might grab a wildcard spot this league could get three teams in.

The North league title belongs to Fleming as they have gone 4-0 in league play and have the tie breaker against Pawnee. This is Fleming’s last league game as they have a non-league game next week. Fleming will be in the running for a 1-3 seed some playoff time. Fleming does have a tough game this week against Briggsdale but should be able to power by this game and move to 5-0 in league play. The #2 team could also be locked up this weekend if Pawnee beats Peetz. Pawnee currently owns a 3-1 record in league play and have a bye next week. If they lose Peetz still has one more league game and could overtake Pawnee in the last week of the season. The North League should get three teams into the playoffs.

The Southeast league has the best game on tap in 6 Man. #2 Eads travels to #3 Kit Carson. Both teams are undefeated and are fighting for that league crown. I expect a ton a points to be scored and the winner to barely squeeze out a victory. This game will be decided by which defense can force the most turnovers. The other key game in this league is between Cheraw and Cheyenne Wells both teams are tanked and both teams are 4-2 overall and this is more for seeding purposes. I think the top four teams all get in. Cheyenne wells needs to have more consistency if they are going to grab this victory.

La Veta is your southwest league champion. They have two non-league games left against Walsh and Manzanola they should be 8-0 going into the playoffs and possibly a top 6 seed. Cotopaxi has locked up the other automatic berth and should grab a nice non-league win this week. They have a tough non-league game next week against Cheraw which will be a good measuring stick for them heading into the playoffs. This league will only get 2 teams into the playoffs.
