The first week of wrestling in 2022 has gone. It was a good weekend. Kids are starting to drop to there certified weight class. So many kids are at different weight classes.
This pass weekend teams were scattered all over the place. Some teams were at the Rocky Mountain Invitational in Pagosa Springs, Some attended the Gary Ramstetter Duals in Alamosa, the Lamar Savage Invitational, Cowboy Invitational in Gunnison. There were alot of other tournaments were other teams attended, but these couple were just some to mention.
This weekend there is the annual Mel Smith Invitational held in Florence. This tournament should be exciting where every 3A team will be in attendance with a couple 2A teams attending. People call it a mini 3A state tournament. It’s gives a look at where kids could possible stand at the end of the season. It should be a really good tournament. I will go into more depth on overall results in next weeks article.
