Class 2A Boys State Tournament Predictions
We are a few days from the State Tournament kicking off. I have decided to deem Tuesday as Prediction Tuesday. I will give my predictions for all 3 Classes boys and girls. Tomorrow we will have something special for all 3 classes boys and girls. If you would like to share your predictions shoot me a message or email, would love to talk basketball with anyone! Also, remember we are not cheering against any team, this is something we have done since we started the website and we are wrong all the time!
Class 2A Boys Regional Prediction Review
Class 2A boys only saw one double digit seed pull the upset and that was #13 Fowler upsetting #4 Plateau Valley. I did pick 6 of the 8 State Qualifiers correct only missing #7 Denver Christian & #4 Plateau Valley.

Elite 8 Predictions
The Elite 8 for Class 2A is loaded with top teams and should make for a great Thursday. Remember we are not cheering against any teams, and we want to wish all 8 teams the best of luck. We all know the hard work all 8 teams have put into this season.
#1 Simla over #8 Fowler
Two undefeated teams enter the state tournament with one of them being #1 Simla. Simla will look to advance as the higher seed after being upset in the opening round last season. Simla took care of business at regionals and come into state with momentum. Fowler was the lone double-digit seed to pull the upset. Fowler played their best game of the season against Plateau Valley and will need a similar performance to snag the upset. Should be a great game but I think the tougher schedule Simla played has prepared them for this game.
#5 Limon over #4 Heritage Christian
I went back and forth on this pick multiple times. I believe this will be a great game and will come down to the wire. Limon played well on the road last week picking up a pair of solid wins. Heritage Christian took care of business at home and will look for the short trip to Loveland. Limon for the past two seasons has played well in the opening round and look for them to continue that again. I could easily see either team win this game.
#6 Sanford over #3 Crowley County
This in my opinion is the best game of the opening round. Crowley County is the other undefeated team and like last season will look to advance past the opening round. Crowley County got a tough draw opening against a traditional power in Sanford who has reached the state championship in back-to-back season. Both teams play different styles of play and whoever controls the tempo wins this game. This is another matchup I could see going in either direction and expect a great game.
#2 Merino over #7 Denver Christian
This is another fantastic matchup between two teams who have been regulars at the state tournament. Merino took care of business at home as did Denver Christian. Both teams come in with plenty of momentum and style of play will be the difference. Both teams are battle tested and like the other games in the opening round could see either team walk away with the win. I think we are spoiled in the opening round of Class 2A this season.

#1 Simla over #5 Limon
#6 Sanford over #2 Merino
Championship Saturday
#1 Simla over #6 Sanford (State Championship)
#2 Merino over #5 Limon (3rd Place)
#3 Crowley County over #4 Heritage Christian (5th Place)
As I mentioned above, I think we are in for four great games to open the state tournament. I think all four games will be competitive this year. It will come down to who can handle the pressure of playing under the lights at Blue Arena. I plan on doing daily updates after each round.
