Region 1

Winner: Alamosa

Alamosa has been on fire this season.  Their lone loss of the year is to #3 Eaton at the beginning of the season.  Alamosa has plenty of experience back to advance.

Region 2

Winner: Resurrection Christian

Resurrection Christian took second in the Patriot League with their lone loss also coming to #3 Eaton.  Resurrection Christian returns plenty of experience and should be a top team.

Region 3

Winner: Eaton

Eaton dropped from #1 to #3 after playing against 4A/5A teams to end the season.  Nearly everyone knows Eaton is the top team in 3A with wins over the #1 & #2 Seeds.

Region 4

Winner: Forge Christian

Forge Christian ended the season on a 13-game winning streak with their last loss coming to #2 Resurrection Christian back in September.  Forge Christian was battle tested all season and should advance.

Region 5

Winner: Stargate School

Stargate School was the #2 team in the Metro League behind Forge Christian.  Stargate School nearly ran the gauntlet of the Metro but slipped up for Forge Christian on 10/7.  Will be interesting to see if Middle Park or Kent Denver could scare them.

Region 6

Winner: Bayfield

Bayfield was second in the tough IML.  The IML has three teams hosting regionals.  Bayfield is battle tested and will face a pair of teams from the Metro League.

Region 7

Winner: Classical Academy

This could be one of the tougher regionals in Class 3A.  DSST-Conservatory is the 3A City League Champions, Platte Valley has great Volleyball tradition, and TCA won the 3A/4A CSML North League.

Region 8

Winner: Sterling

Sterling did not get any help with this regional draw.  Lamar has the tradition to challenge a tough Sterling team.  Could be a great matchup to watch in the final games of the day.

Region 9

Winner: Gunnison

Gunnison ended the year winning 9 straight matches including a key win over Aspen in October.  Gunnison lost was to 4A Montrose in early October.  Gunnison has the state tournament experience and should advance.

Region 10

Winner: Centauri

Centauri made the State Tournament last year and could be a huge factor in them getting back this year.  Centauri will be tested by Coal Ridge & Brush, but I expect them to advance.

Region 11

Winner: Aspen

Aspen was the co-headliner of the improved Western Slope League this season.  They finished second to Gunnison in the league.

Region 12

Winner: Village

Your Class 3A Defending State Champions will look to pull the upset in the Regionals and knock off the host Prospect Ridge Academy.  This will also be a tough regional with Montezuma-Cortez also playing in the tough IML and could even shock the world and get to state.
