Class 1A Baseball Regional Projections (4/30/2026)

Class 1A Baseball Regionals are done a bit different than the rest of the Classes. Class 1A still plays a district tournament with the district winner all qualifying for State. The district winners are seeded 1-5 with the top 4 district winner hosting regionals. If your district has more than 5 teams they automatically qualify 2 teams. This season District 2, 4, and 5 all automatically qualify 2 teams. The remaining 8 teams will be picked off the CHSAA Seeding and Selection Index.

District Champions Predictions

District 1 Champion Prediction: Nucla (18)

Tradition is hard to beat and both Nucla and Dove Creek have that. The rest of the District is very weak this year so expect Nucla and Dove Creek to square off for the regional crown.

District 2 Champion Prediction: Simla (8)

District 2 Automatic Berth Prediction: Evangel Christian (12)

Simla is the #1 seed in the District Tournament and I am giving them the edge to win that District. ECA, Kiowa, and Custer County all made it to the Semifinals.

District 3 Champion Prediction: Flatirons Academy (1)

Flatirons Academy and Rocky Mountain Lutheran will play each other in the district finals.

District 4 Champion Prediction: McClave (2)

District 4 Automatic Berth: Eads (6)

This should be a competitive District tournament as all 4 teams can challenge for the District Title. McClave is going to be the favorite as we head into the District Semifinals.

District 5 Champion: Haxtun (3)

District 5 Automatic Berth: Akron (4)

The best district in Class 1A. The Semifinals are set with Haxtun, Akron, Merino, and Prairie advancing to the Semifinals. All four will have a shot to win the District Title.
