MileHigh Prep Report Week 5 Football Power Rankings

Most teams will one last non-league game or have a bye this week in Class 2A and 1A.  League play opened in 8-Man and some league games also took place in the 6-Man ranks.  We have a new #1 in Class 2A for the first time since 2016.

Class 2A                                                                    Last Week

Notes: For the first time in a while we have a brand new #1.  Bayfield lost do Durango and drops to #4.  Platte Valley, Resurrection Christian and La Junta all pick up big wins and are #1, #2, and #3.  Rifle and Basalt fall back to #5 and #6 due to reshuffling the rankings.  Berthoud is new to the rankings picking up their 3rd straight win.  Faith Christian won but I cannot keep Berthoud out of the rankings following their run of wins.

Notes:  More movement in Class 1A.  Yuma lost to Crowley County and Centauri and Crowley County move up 1 spot.  Holyoke joins the rankings at 3-0 and Paonia joins the rankings at 2-1.  Meeker stays put at #9 following a close lose to #1 Limon.  Yuma and Buena Vista drop out of the rankings.

Notes:   8-Man continues the shuffle.  I have re-arranged the Top 5 with Fowler moving up to #4 and Hoehne moving to #5.  Mancos jumps up to #6 following their win over Sargent and Rangely moves to #7.  Sargent falls to #9 and Soroco joins the rankings at #10 followed closely by Sanford.

Notes: Just some reshuffling in 6-Man.  Peetz lost to Stratton/Liberty and drop to 6.  Prairie replaces them at #4.  New this week is Mountain Valley at #10.  They blasted Cotopaxi and move to #10.
