MileHigh Prep Report Week 8 Football Power Rankings

Some teams made statement wins and I have adjusted some rankings accordingly.  With the RPI out those are the rankings that really matter the most.  My rankings look more at what teams are the best when not just looking at the RPI numbers.  The RPI rankings as you know look at 30% winning percentage, 40% opponents winning percentage, and 30% opponents opponents winning percentage.

Class 2A                                                                    Last Week

1.     Platte Valley (6-0) 1 (4 weeks)
2.     Resurrection Christian (6-0) 2
3.     La Junta (6-0) 3
4.     Bayfield (4-1) 4
5.     Rifle (6-0) 5
6.     Basalt (6-0) 6
7.     Salida (6-0) 7
8.    Eaton (5-1) 8
9.     Kent Denver (5-1) 9
10.   Faith Christian (4-2) NR
·         Others: Berthoud, Delta, D’Evelyn, Englewood, Pagosa Springs, Bennett

Dropped out: Delta (10)

Notes: Delta lost to Rifle, so they drop out of the rankings.  Faith Christian moves back into the rankings.  That is the only change this week.

Dropped Out: None

Notes:  Just reshuffled the rankings.  Colorado Springs Christian beat Buena Vista 47-0 and they needed to be moved up.  Centauri also blasted Monte Vista, but Burlington picked up a key win and Peyton, Limon, and Strasburg all won as well.

Notes:   Plenty of movement in 8-Man.  Hoehne blasted Holly and moves up to #3 Holly drops to #8.  Mancos jumps Caliche to #4 after a surge in the fourth to beat Sanford.  Rangely, Sargent move up 1 spot.  Sanford stays put at #9 and Fowler rejoins the rankings this week.  Soroco falls out of the rankings losing to Vail Christian.  I picked Fowler over Akron due to their head to head matchup.  Pikes Peak Christian is also close to being ranked.
