Well, the season is almost coming to an end. Two weeks until regionals and I could just imagine what is going through each coach’s head. They have some tough decisions coming up.
For this week, we have some good quality tournaments. We have the Valley Classic held by Center High School. This tournament has a really good turn out with teams. I believe they have teams coming in from around the state in Class 2A. They usually have at least 5 to 6 ranked teams in attendance. This should be a tough tournament and some exiting matches. If your in the San Luis Valley this weekend stop by and watch some good wrestling. Other tournaments going on this weekend are the Valley Invite held by Valley High School, the Stratton Invitational, and the Dolores Huerta Duals. So some good tournaments going on this weekend. I know the State Team Dual Tournament is going on this weekend as well in Pueblo West. This is the first year that will be going on.
As the season goes on most likely the week of regionals I will be doing my prediction for class 3A and 2A state qualifiers and teams races. Good luck wrestlers this weekend.
