MileHigh Prep Report Boys Basketball Week 12 Rankings (Class 3A thru Class 1A)

The regular season is complete. It’s District Tournament time and time to fight for your shot at moving to regionals. Good Luck to all teams in their District Tournaments. I will be doing predictions on all games every night. I will still do my District predictions and try and update my regional predictions. We have a new #1 team in Class 1A. We also add new teams in every Class. The biggest changes are in Class 1A & 2A after a crazy week of games.

Class 3A

Notes: No changes to the top 8 this week. University and Eagle Ridge Academy both lost and fall out of the rankings. I move Middle Park and Englewood into the rankings this week.

Class 2A

Notes: The final few days of the regular season was upset city. Denver Christian, Meeker, and Mancos were all upset. Denver Christian was upset by a team who should win their District, but Heritage Christian was beat the following night by Wray. Due to that I dropped Denver Christian from #2 to #4. Meeker was upset by Plateau Valley who is playing better and now a real threat to snag a top 3 spot in that District. Meeker falls out of the rankings. Mancos was upset by 1 by Dolores and is a tough loss. Mancos falls from #4 to #9. I kept them ranked due to their wins over Sanford and Ignacio.

Notes: I had to complete redo the rankings in Class 1A this week. Granada was upset by McClave by 3 and I considered moving McClave ahead of Granada, but they were upset as well by Wiley. What I am doing is moving Sierra Grande into the #1 spot with Haxtun #2. Granada I still believe is a top 3 team and put them at #3. McClave moved up 1 spot to #6. I also moved Wiley into the top 10 with their win. If this is a showing of things to come we should be excited for the next 3 weeks.
