Class 1A Football Playoff Predictions Quarterfinals and Full Bracket
First, this is just my opinion. I would love to hear or see your thoughts on how the 6-man bracket turns out. Second, Good Luck to all teams! I do not cheer against any teams. Full breakdown of each matchup posted earlier.
Class 1A Playoff Predictions Quarterfinals Only
#1 Limon over #8 Monte Vista
I believe this will be a much closer matchup than people think. Both teams play physical style of football and want to control the line of scrimmage. I believe this will come down to experience and that is where Limon will have the edge. I expect this to be a good game.
#5 Yuma over #13 C.S Christian
The main question in this game is can C.S Christian play physical for a full game to contain the rushing attack of Yuma. If you look at other rushing teams against C.S Christian (Monte Vista) they struggled to stop the run. I also think Yuma secondary will be tough to throw against. If C.S Christian can play a complete physical game this could be interesting.
#7 Centauri over #2 Strasburg (2nd Best Game)
Centauri vs Strasburg version 5.0. This will be the fifth meeting between these schools since 2017. Strasburg has yet to lose to Centauri in the playoffs, but Centauri has hosted them in all 4 matchups and lost. The lone win Centauri has over Strasburg came last season on the road. I do think this will be a great game and I think both teams are evenly matched. This can go either way and should be a great game.
#6 Wray over #3 Wiggins (Best Game)
Wray vs Wiggins the rematch! Wiggins defeated Wray 28-14 two weeks ago and we get the rematch. I believe this will be a great game and comes down to just the smallest details. I think Wray with QB Casey Midcap makes a huge difference in this game, but I think we are talking a 3-to-7-point difference. I expect a great game once again and could easily see this going either direction. Look for defensive adjustments to be key.
