Regional Wrestling Update by Carlos Valencia
Well it’s here. The most important weekend of the wrestling season. The weekend, where all the cutting weight, the long weeks of practices pay off. It’s regional weekend. This weekend is where the wrestler takes one match at a time. Don’t look ahead. Take one round at a time.
There are 4 regions in each classification. Where the top 4 of each region will qualify for the State Tournament next weekend.
In class 3A
Region 1 will be held at Eaton high school
Region 2 will be held at Glewood Springs high school
Region 3 will be held at Lincoln high school
Region 4 will be held at The Classical Academy high school.
In class 2A
Region 1 will be held at Northeastern Community College
Region 2 will be held at Hayden High school
Region 3 will be held at Ortero community College
Region 4 will be held at Rye high school.
The tournament is a 2 day event. First round and second round with one round of consulation usually will be covered the first day on Friday, followed with the remainder of the tournament on Saturday.

We will have an update Saturday or Sunday on the results of regionals.
