Class 1A Girls State Tournament Predictions
We are a few days from the State Tournament kicking off. I have decided to deem Tuesday as Prediction Tuesday. I will give my predictions for all 3 Classes boys and girls. Tomorrow we will have something special for all 3 classes boys and girls.
Remember I am not cheering against any teams! Good Luck to all 8 teams competing for a State Championship!
Class 1A Girls Regional Prediction Review
Class 1A girls also avoided the big upsets. I even think most people would consider Fleming over Kiowa as not an upset and was only seeded that way due to the rules. For Class 1A girls I correctly picked 7 of the 8 State Qualifiers. I only missed #9 Granada.
Class 1A Girls State Tournament Predictions
Elite 8 Predictions
#1 McClave over #9 Granada
Round #3 between these two teams. McClave is 2-0 against Granada with their last meeting being on 1/27 and was only a 6-point game. This should be a great game and never easy to beat a team 3 times in a season. McClave also has the state tournament experience.
#4 Dove Creek over #5 Stratton
This game is more of a mystery game. Stratton has played a tough schedule Dove Creek not as hard but took care of a solid Cheraw team in the Regional Finals. Dove Creek has state tournament experience and we will see if they can get over the hump in the state tournament.
#2 Flatirons Academy over #10 Kit Carson
Can anyone beat Flatirons Academy is the main question. Kit Carson will take their best shot and I do think this could be a game. I just think Flatirons Academy is the favorite to win it all.
#3 Briggsdale over #11 Fleming
This is also the third meeting between these two teams. Briggsdale has won both with the second game being the closest and going into OT. This is going to be a great game and I am leaning Briggsdale in this game.
