Class 2A Baseball, How to Make the Playoffs & League Alignment

Thirty-two (32) teams qualify for the regional/state tournaments based on RPI/Maxpreps.  League champions not in the top 32 would receive an automatic qualifying position (minimum of 5 teams in a league for automatic berth).  The 8 teams with the highest RPI/Maxpreps host regionals.  The remaining 24 teams will then be seeded by RPI/Maxpreps and then any first round league matchups will be adjusted.  The bottom 8 teams may be moved for geographical purposes.  The tournament will be a 32-team single elimination tournament.

Note: Class 2A teams must play a minimum of 17 games to qualify for postseason play.
