Class 3A Baseball Regional Predictions
If you have been following MileHigh Prep Report since we started, you know how much we like doing our predictions even if we catch slack. Just know we are not cheering against any teams, and we are proven wrong all the time. We enjoy putting the predictions out there and look forward to seeing the results of the games. Region 1
#1 University over #32 Lincoln
#17 Timnath over #16 Resurrection Christian
Regional Finals
#1 University over #17 Timnath
Timnath vs Resurrection Christian will be a phenomenal matchup. Both teams I am assuming have to pitch their #1. University has been the #1 most of the year and probably have the most pitching depth on their staff in all of Class 3A.
Region 2
#2 Eaton over #31 Manitou Springs
#15 Peak to Peak over #18 Weld Central
Regional Finals
#2 Eaton over #15 Peak to Peak
Peak to Peak vs Weld Central could be another great matchup both teams will go in looking to take their shot against the #2 team. Eaton has been the #2 team in the state most of the season. Eaton has the experience and the top talent to advance.
Region 3
#3 Montezuma-Cortez over #30 Berthoud
#14 Brush over #19 Pagosa Springs

#3 Montezuma-Cortez over #14 Brush
After the first two regions this is where things could be interesting right away. Brush has proven they can defeat the top teams and if they can save their Ace for the regional finals they can pull the upset. Class 3A in general I truly believe anything can happen from here on down. Don’t be surprised is Brush pulls the upset.
Region 4
#4 Aspen over #29 Strasburg
#13 Elizabeth over #20 Liberty Common

#4 Aspen over #13 Elizabeth
I do believe Aspen has proven they could be another team who has been consistent this season with their losses to Delta, Coal Ridge, and 4A Eagle Valley. The Main question for this region is can Elizabeth hold their #1 in the opening round or have to pitch him. Elizabeth has proven they can beat a top team but I am not sure without their Ace.
Region 5
#5 Classical Academy over #28 Woodland Park
#12 Alamosa over #21 Kent Denver
Regional Finals
#5 Classical Academy over #12 Alamosa
Alamosa vs Kent Denver should be a great matchup. Both teams should also give TCA a good challenge in the regional finals. I think TCA has top end pitching and if they have their #1 for the regional finals I think they have a very good chance of moving on.
Region 6
#6 Prospect Ridge over #27 Roaring Fork
#22 Wellington over #11 Sterling

Things get very interesting in Region 6. I am very torn on picking this region. Wellington vs Sterling could be one of the best matchups in the opening round. I do think the winner has a very good chance at pulling the upset but if Prospect Ridge can get by Roaring Fork holding back their top pitcher I think they could advance.
Region 7
#7 Delta over #26 Valley
#10 Coal Ridge over #23 Lamar

#7 Delta over #10 Coal Ridge
Here is one of the more competitive regions in Class 3A. This will come down to pitching depth and who pitches who. You may see all four teams throw their best arm to get to the regional finals and if that happens expect anything in the regional finals. If a team can hold their best arm and advance then look for that team to move on.
Region 8
#8 D’Evelyn over #25 La Junta
#9 Colorado Academy over #24 Alameda
Regional Finals
#9 Colorado Academy over #8 D’Evelyn
I think all the games in this region could be great games. I could see La Junta pull the upset in the opening round and Alameda proved they can beat top teams when they knocked off Elizabeth last week. I think if you look at this region expect anything and any team to advance.
