Class 3A Volleyball Weekly Review and Preview

The 2026 Volleyball season is in full swing now and many teams are starting to find their place the rankings and are starting to make runs for the league leaderboards. This week, we review the top 16 teams in 3A based on our rankings that came out on September 7th.
University
The Bulldogs are 5-0 on the season after getting their most recent wins over Windsor 3-1, Elizabeth 3-0 and Thompson Valley 3-0. Tonight, University will host Timnath and will be looking to make their record 6-0 to end the week. Next week, the team will go on the road to take on Frontier Academy on 9/15. Leading the Bulldogs’ stat board are Grace Elbe with 10 blocks, Kaydence Lucero with 10 blocks and 22 kills, Kenley Rudiger with 9 blocks, 7 aces, 27 digs, and 139 assists, Delaney Lauer with 10 aces, 38 digs, 74 kills and 32 receptions, Livianna Aguilar with 7 aces, 51 digs, 15 assists and 53 receptions, Holly Jennings with 16 assists, Carigen Lucero with 40 kills and Shaylee Dyess with 33 receptions.
Resurrection Christian
The Cougars are 6-0 on the season with their most recent wins coming over Platte Valley 3-1 and Peak to Peak 3-0. Resurrection Christian will be looking to keep their perfect record intact next week when they take on Roosevelt on 9/15 at home and then go on the road to face Stargate School on 9/16. Stat leaders for the Cougars are Tatum Highstreet with 16 blocks, Brooklyn Diepersloot with 14 blocks and 31 kills, Corinne Soukup with 13 blocks, 8 aces, Paige Michaelson with 12 aces, 28 digs, 50 kills and 29 receptions, Kylee Mayes with 8 aces, 46 digs, and 133 assists, Jada Nordhagen with 53 digs, 8 assists, and 84 receptions, and Bradee Seely with 6 assists and 30 receptions.
The Classical Academy
The Titans are currently 6-2 on the season, with both of their losses coming this month in their most recent games against Lewis-Palmer 2-3 and Forge Christian 1-3. TCA will be looking to bounce back and start adding more wins to their record next week as they host Elizabeth on 9/15 and Highlands Ranch in the first league game of the season on 9/17. Leading TCA’s stat board are Aubrie Renn with 16 blocks, 20 aces, and 54 kills, Ashlyn Dleaney with 13 blocks, 58 digs, 114 kills and 120 receptions, CJ Connelly with 11 blocks, Caylee Somersalmi with 13 aces, 76 digs, 56 kills and 169 receptions, Clarie Campos with 11 aces, Addy Macha with 66 digs, 7 assists, and 71 receptions, Sydney Corr with 129 assists, and Claire Gilbert with 98 assists.
Eaton
Eaton is currently 6-2 overall on the season, their most recent wins coming against Greeley central 3-0, Thompson Valley 3-1 and Brush 3-0. The Reds have some winning momentum going for them that they will be looking to hang onto as they finish out the week on the road facing Sterling. Next week, the team will head back out and play Timnath on 9/15 and then host Roosevelt on 9/17. Leading the stat board for Eaton are Ashby Breinig with 7 blocks, Elianna Baessler with 5 blocks, Maylea Maske with 3 blocks and 53 kills, Mia Martinez with 14 aces and 61 receptions, Katie St. Jean with 11 aces, 91 digs, 30 assists and 110 receptions, Anika Pearson with 8 aces, 55 digs, 42 kills, and 79 receptions, Skyelyn Lefever with 38 digs, 120 assists and 33 kills, and Aspen Lane with 36 assists.
Berthoud
Berthoud is currently 6-2 overall on the season after beating Timnath 3-1 since the start of the month. The Spartans will wrap up this week of play by traveling to Erie on 9/12. Next week, Berthoud will host Sterling on 9/15 and Loveland on 9/17 to try and add more wins to their record. Stat leaders for the Spartans are Addison Jones with 25 blocks and 80 kills, Libby Wilson with 13 blocks, 21 aces, 59 digs, and 287 assists, Lucy Kirklin with 10 blocks, Whitney Barmes with 16 aces and 48 digs, Avery Tychsen with 13 aces, 13 assists, and 86 kills Sasha Carter with 101 digs, 14 assists, 56 kills and 124 receptions, and Amelia Major with 80 receptions.
Sterling
Sterling is 4-1 on the season after falling to Gering 2-3, beating Fort Lupton 3-0 and then beating Scottsbluff 3-0. With the number of wins still ahead of the losses for the team, the Tigers will be looking to get more wins under their belt as they take on the Eaton Reds on 9/12 and then next week, go on the road to play Berthoud on 9/15 and Fort Morgan on 9/17. Leading the Tiger stat board are Karsyn Tonche with 6 blocks, 6 aces, 47 digs, 8 assists, 79 kills and 79 receptions, Bailey Jackson with 5 blocks and 19 kills, Rylie Kaiser with 4 blocks, Kenzie Rubottom with 60 digs, 7 assists, 55 kills and 55 receptions, Elliana Pelton with 5 aces and 37 digs, and Berkley Gardiner with 147 assists.
The Village
The Mountaineers are currently 4-3 on the season with losses to Palisade and Rocky Mountain 0-3 and wins over Thomas Jefferson 2-0, Dakota Ridge 2-1 and Air Academy 3-1 since the start of the month. The Village will be looking to add another win to their record and will play next week against Falcon on 9/17. Stat leaders for The Village are Ella Dorelus-Weeks with 17 blocks, Mary Estares with 9 blocks, 11 aces, 40 digs, 3 assists, 76 kills and 99 receptions, Alyssa Simmons with 8 blocks, Norah Hollis with 10 aces, 38 digs, 87 kills and 117 receptions, Emerson Lavine with 9 aces, 35 digs, 60 assists, and 53 receptions, and Cecilia Pederson with 144 assists.
Holy Family
Holy Family keeps their prefect record intact after beating Forge Christian 3-1, Broomfield 3-1 and Longmont 3-0 since the start of the month. The Tigers will be looking to maintain their perfect record through the weekend as they participate in tournament play this weekend and see teams like Garden City and Alamosa. League play will start next week for Holy Family as they host Federick on 9/15 and Mead on 9/17. Stat leaders for the Tigers are Jes Hoffman with 6 blocks, Mary Siurek with 6 blocks, Jordyn Fox with 6 blocks, 8 aces, 53 digs, 77 kills and 48 receptions, Taylor Hillegass with 19 aces, 35 digs, and 155 assists, Kate Fischer with 8 aces and 8 assists, Caroline Staff with 62 digs, 10 assists, and 63 receptions, Allie Gill with 33 kills and Gabby Sellers with 40 receptions.
Aspen
The Aspen Skiers are currently 4-0 overall on the season, 3-0 in league play and are 1st in the Western Slope League. Aspen started play in September and has beat Gunnison, Glenwood Springs, Delta and Roaring Fork all 3-0. This weekend, the team will play in tournament play and will face D’Evelyn, Lake County and Battle Mountain and will try to maintain their perfect record. Stat leaders for Aspen are Belle Sinclair with 2 blocks, 18 aces, 34 digs, 45 assists, and 12 kills, Suki Manuel with 2 blocks, Alex Klausmann with 1 block, Elena Creamer with 7 aces, 35 digs, 9 assists and 64 receptions, Autumn Sherwin with 5 aces, 17 digs, and 28 receptions, Ava Braley with 25 assists, Andrea Lee with 25 kills, and Mary Morse with 19 kills and 24 receptions.
Alamosa
Alamosa is currently 4-2 on the season with a 1-0 league record and are 2nd in the Intermountain League. The Mean Moose played their first game in September against league opponent Centauri and was able to get the win 3-1. The team will be looking to add more wins to their record this weekend as they play in the Lewis Palmer Tournament on 9/12 and face teams like Garden City and Holy Family. Lead the Mean Moose stat board are Brooklyn Schrader with 8 blocks and 33 kills, Brynley Brown with 6 blocks and 45 kills, Kamryn Moeller with 5 blocks and 15 aces, Addison Rice with 15 aces, 87 digs, 11 assists, and 101 receptions, Ashlyn Rice with 11 aces and 144 assists, Egypt Holman with 71 digs, 9 assists and 71 receptions, Leela Gutierrez with 59 digs and 107 receptions, and Brooklyn Schrader with 33 kills.
Platte Valley
The Broncos are currently 6-4 overall on the season recent wins over Windsor Charter 3-2, Wellington 3-0 and losses to Resurrection Christian 1-3 and Forge Christian last night 1-3. The team will be looking to break their current two game losing streak and add more wins to their record next week when they host Yuma on 9/15 and then travel to Severance on 9/17. Stat leaders for the Broncos are Bryla Bunting with 24 blocks, 15 aces, and 65 receptions, Kenedi Nelson with 12 blocks and 64 kills, Talea Huerta with 8 blocks, 18 aces, 2 assists and 70 kills, Madi Hunt with 28 aces, 64 digs, and 93 receptions, Delaney Uyemura with 142 digs, 10 assists, and 222 receptions, Clara Ochsner with 85 digs, 287 assists, and Paisley Nelson with 66 kills.
Kent Denver
Since the start of the month, Kent Denver beat Bruce Randolph 3-0, Strasburg 3-1 and fell last night to DSST: Conservatory Green 1-3, giving the team a 4-1 record so far. The Sun Devils are off for the rest of the week but will kick off play again next week on 9/15 against DSST: College View and will be looking to find more wins to add to their recrod. Stat leaders for the Sun Devils are Anya Schayes with 10 blocks, 9 aces, and 22 kills, Ava Ryan with 5 blocks, Isla Penny with 3 blocks, Agnes Beck with 12 aces, 36 digs, 24 kills and 51 receptions, Regan Tierney with 7 aces and 67 assists, Bita Parizi-Newman with 39 digs, 10 assists and 54 receptions, Mosley Manning with 32 digs, 37 kills and 48 receptions, and Olivia Carney with 35 assists.
Prospect Ridge
The Miners are 3-1 on the season after getting a win over Mountain View 3-1 and falling to Windsor Charter 0-3. To wrap up this week, the team will play tournament style games against Brush, Evergreen and Arrupe Jesuit and will try to add more wins to their record before they head into league play. Stat leaders for Prospect Ridge are Molly McLemore with 16 blocks and 1 assist, Alessandra Erramoispe with 10 blocks and 24 kills, Ceria Trinta with 3 blocks, 30 kills and 40 receptions, Brianna Bransom with 14 aces, 22 digs, 39 kills and 25 receptions, Delany Ash with 13 aces and 109 assists, Genevieve Forsman with 8 aces, 74 digs, 15 assists and 32 receptions, and Corina Teufel with 24 digs.
Jefferson Academy
Jefferson Academy is 8-1 overall on the season and are on a 7 game winning streak after beating Frontier Academy 3-0, Valley 3-1, D’Evelyn 3-0 and Weld Central 3-1. The Jaguars will be looking to keep their winning streak alive next week and will go on the road to face Kent Denver on 9/17. Stat leaders for Jefferson Academy are Emma Purcelli with 11 blocks, Milena Quintana with 10 blocks, Emily Neptune with 7 blocks, Georgia Miller with 21 aces, 46 digs, and 91 receptions, Ravel LaBerge with 11 aces and 137 assists, Katerina Shadrach with 10 aces, 37 digs, 51 kills and 53 receptions, Tailey Sengdara with 44 digs and 67 receptions, Nyah Bieser with 44 assists, and Sora Greenzweig with 6 assists.
Forge Christian
The Fury are currently 3-4 on the season. Since the start of the month, the team has lost to Holy Family 1-3 and Timnath 1-3 but got wins over TCA and Platte Valley 3-1. Forge Christian will be looking to add more wins to their record and limit the losses. Next week the team will hit the road and travel to Flatirons Academy on 9/15. Stat leaders for the Fury are Maddie Saba with 8 blocks and 31 kills, Josie Arp with 5 blocks, Genevieve Leonardi with 3 blocks and 40 receptions, Colbee White with 7 aces and 114 assists, Finley Queen with 6 aces and 31 kills, Bella Tiner with 6 aces, 47 digs, 6 assists and 154 receptions, Addison Davis with 49 digs and 90 receptions, and Grayson Taylor with 6 assists.
Windsor Charter
Windsor Charter is 9-2 on the season after falling to Platte Valley 2-3 but getting wins over Severance 3-1, Prospect Ridge Academy 3-0 and falling to Stargate School 2-3. The Firebirds will be looking to keep adding wins to their record and will play next week at home against Strasburg on 9/15 and then will go on the road to play Valley on 9/17. Stat leaders for the Firebirds are Vivian Dizmang with 5 blocks and14 aces, Sophia Sims with 4 blocks, 63 kills and 45 receptions, Penny Perry with 3 blocks and 19 kills, Aubri Penfold with 20 aces, 67 digs, and 164 assists, Maddie Morse with 17 aces, 86 digs, and 67 kills, Adalyn Schwartz with 69 digs, 6 assists, and 55 receptions, and Katie Ward with 4 assists and 50 receptions.
