Week 8 6 Man League Breakdown
Central League
We are in the final week of the season for 6-Man football and the crossover games start next week. This week is used more for trying to grab what is left of the wildcard points. In the Central league Hanover is the league champion and Genoa Hugo will finish in second place and grab the other automatic berth. South Park is sitting in 21st place and Miami Yoder is sitting 22nd place. South Park plays Genoa Hugo and they can help themselves out with a win but I believe they are way too far out to grab an automatic berth.

East Central
The East Central league is one of the few that still has a lot league games to play. Arickaree/Woodlin locked up the league title when they beat Flagler on Monday night. The number two seeded can be decided very easily this week as well. If Idalia beats Otis they take second and grab the other automatic berth. Idalia bounced back nicely after losing to Flagler the week before blowing by Weldon Valley 72 to 25. Otis is continuing to struggle since starting league play. They were hammered by Stratton/Liberty 60 to 13. Idalia is currently sitting in 13th in points and with a win clinch. Otis on the other hand cannot clinch an automatic berth and instead needs a wildcard berth. They are sitting in 14th place and badly need a win. A loss will hurt either team and could cost them a playoff spot. The big game this week is between Stratton/Liberty and Hi Plains. Both teams are sitting at 3-2 in league and both lost to Idalia. They only way they could sneak in a grab an automatic berth is for Idalia to loss then the winner would get the automatic berth. The winner might sneak into the playoffs as a wildcard team. Hi Plains is sitting in 15th place and Stratton/Liberty is in 16th place. If Otis losses that will drop them and they can move up in the standings. Currently I think Hi Plains and Otis will get into the playoffs as wildcard teams.

North
The north league champion is Fleming and they have ran through league play pretty easily and are looking like they will be the #2 seed. The auto berth is still up for grabs between Pawnee and Peetz. Peetz was able to move past Pawnee last week and now has the track for the automatic berth. All Peetz has to do is beat Weldon Valley which they should and they get the automatic berth. Pawnee will still get into the playoffs easily as they are in 8th place and are finished with games. They are actually in position to host a first round game. Briggsdale is the only team that is desperately needing some help to get into the playoffs. They are sitting in 18th place and must beat Flagler and even then will need help from other teams if they want to grab a wildcard berth.

Southeast
Kit Carson took home the league title last week when they defeated Eads 22 to 6. Which is a very low scoring game for two high powered offenses. Kit Carson will probably grab the #1 overall seed if they win this week against Walsh. Eads clinched the second automatic berth and will more than likely have a home game. Cheraw will also get into the playoffs they have a tough game this week against Cotopaxi but they are sitting in 9th place and will get into the playoffs. Cheyenne Wells is sitting in 12th place and are in position to get into the playoffs but have a very tough game against Fleming and could drop them a few spots but I believe they will get into playoffs. Walsh is in 17th place and don’t think even upsetting Kit Carson would get them enough points to move into the playoffs.

Southwest
La Veta and Cotopaxi are your two automatic berth and La Veta is your league champion. La Veta is looking like they will get the #3 seed going into the crossover games. Cotopaxi is in 7th place and have a very tough game this week if they win could possibly host a game but if they lose will probably be traveling in the first round. Mountain Valley is currently sitting in 12th in wildcard points and have a very good chance to make the playoffs if they win this week against North Park.
