Class 8-Man Playoff Predictions
The one classification that is giving me the most problems is 8-Man the amount of upsets this past weekend was really crazy. The Ark Valley is now completely changed.
Week 9 Playoff Predictions
The way 8 man is selected is by giving the league title winners automatic berths. Then they select 3 teams from the pool of second place teams then replace them with third place teams then keep going until you have 16 team selected.
Automatic Berths: Springfield, West Grand, Sargent, Sedgwick County, Hoehne, Norwood
Next 3: Akron, Dove Creek, Granada
Next 3: Dayspring Christian, Kiowa, Wiley
There are 5 teams that have a chance at 2 playoff spots. Those 5 teams are Gilpin County, Mancos, Haxtun, Simla, Holly. Things got really messy and now predicting the final teams in becomes really interesting. Holly cannot get into the playoffs unless Wiley gets in first. I think Merino has done enough and are a lock to get in. I also think that Vail Christian has done enough to get into the playoffs and are a lock to get in. Realistically Mancos, Simla, Haxtun, and Holly are fighting for 2 spots. I am giving the edge to Haxtun they played in the toughest league and to Holly. Holly gets the last spot in due to their key win on Springfield, Mancos and Simla both lack a key win.
