Review of 1st round Predictions
Class 2A
I correctly picked Bayfield, Brush, La Junta, Sterling, Platte Valley, Eaton, and Kent Denver all as winners. The one game I missed was Strasburg upsetting Alameda but on my predictions I did say it would be a close game and Alameda would only win by 3. There were 3 upsets in the first round. #9 Brush upset #8 Moffat County, #11 Strasburg upsetting #6 Alameda, and #10 Eaton upsetting #7 Bennett. For predicting the entire bracket I am still doing alright because I only had Alameda going one round anyways. I was 87.5% correct on my picks in the first round.
Class 1A
I correctly picked Buena Vista, Crowley County, Paonia, Burlington, Meeker, and Resurrection Christian. I missed Wiggins over Rye which I said would be a 7 point game but ended up being 18 points and Limon over Monte Vista but did say it would be a close 10 point game. There were 2 upsets #13 Limon upset #4 Monte Vista and #10 Meeker upset #7 Platte Canyon. On my entire bracket I had Rye only going one round but I had Monte Vista going to the Semifinals so my bracket has already taken a small beating. I was 75% correct on my picks and did pick the close game for the first round correctly as well.
Class 8-Man
I correctly picked all 8 games for 8-Man. The only upset that happened in 8-Man was Dove Creek over West Grand but I did not consider it an upset for talent on the field. I said there would be 3 close game and realistically there was only 1 close game.
Class 6-Man
I correctly picked all 4 games for 6-Man. No upsets happened as the top four seeds all won. I did pick correctly the close game between Arickaree/Woodlin and Peetz. At halftime Pawnee was giving Eads a great game but Eads had a great second half and pulled away.
