| 10. Basalt (6-1) | NR |
| · Others: Coal Ridge, Manual, Roaring Fork, Lutheran, Vanguard, Centauri, Frontier Academy, Brush, Pinnacle, Machebeuf, Strasburg, Jefferson Academy
Dropped out: Manual (5), Lutheran (10) |
Notes: Not as big of a shake up this week but still some movement in the polls. Your #1,2,3, & 4 all stayed the same and are all looking very dominate so far this season. 5-10 is completely different this week. #5 Kent Denver has played great so far this year and just picked up their first loss of the season to #4 Manitou Springs. Alamosa was idle last week but have 2 impressive victories already this year. I have DSST-Stapleton barely ahead of Faith Christian. DSST-Stapleton 2 of 3 losses where to 4A and they have better quality wins but there is not much separating the two schools. 2 Brand new Schools come into the rankings this week. Colorado Academy gets back into the rankings this week. They have played a brutal schedule playing against 4A and 5A opponents. The other new schools is Basalt. Basalt one loss is to #4 Del Norte (2A) and they beat another top ten school in 2A last week in Ignacio. Manual and Lutheran both drop out. Manual has played a tough schedule and could easily see them making a return to the rankings. Lutheran though the jury is still out on this team but once they play some more in state teams we will get a better picture. |
Class 2A Last Week
| 1. Sedgwick County (5-0) | 1(2 weeks) |
| 2. Highland (6-0) | 2 |
| 3. Paonia (5-1) | 3 |
| 4. Del Norte (6-1) | 4 |
| 5. Akron (5-0) | 7 |
| 6. Peyton (6-0) | 10 |
| 7. Fowler (4-1) | NR |
| 8. Hotchkiss (5-2) | NR |
| 9. John Mall (4-1) | NR |
| 10. Ignacio (3-1) | 5 |
| · Others: Clear Creek, Lyons, Crowley County, Dayspring Christian, Center, Holyoke, Alexander Dawson, Dolores Huerta, Colorado Springs School, Sargent, Limon,
Dropped out: Holyoke (6), Sanford (8), Ellicott (9) |
Notes: Major shake up to the bottom half of the polls this week. 1 thru 4 all stay the same and are really showing that they could be the top of the class this year. #5 Akron and #6 Peyton also have had good showings this year and are both undefeated. 7 thru 10 are completely new and only #10 Ignacio was able to hold onto a rankings spot. They have yet to play anyone and when they faced off against Basalt they lost but Basalt is newly ranked in 3A so I left them in the top 10. #7, #8, and #9 are all brand new teams into the rankings. Fowler makes their appearance in the rankings at #7 with their only loss to Centauri (3A). #8 is Hotchkiss who is 5-2 but with losses to Delta (3A) and Paonia by 4 they are looking to be a tough team. #9 is John Mall which is somewhat of a surprise I am guessing to some. But they have 1 loss to Manitou Springs #3 (3A) and good wins against Dolores Huerta and Rocky Ford. Three teams leave the rankings this week. Holyoke who could make a run to get back into the rankings, Sanford who recently lost to Monte Vista and are looking at a tough rebuilding process after losing a very talented senior class, and Ellicott who has gotten off to a rough start at 2-2. |
Class 1A Last Week

| 4. Sierra Grande (5-1) | 3 |
| 5. Rocky Mountain Lutheran (6-1) | 6 |
| 6. Flagler (5-1) | 7 |
| 7. Peetz (6-0) | NR |
| 8. Front Range Baptist (4-0) | NR |
| 9. Jim Elliot (5-1) | NR |
| 10. Shining Mountain (3-2) | 8 |
| · Others: Kit Carson, Longmont Christian, Primero, Fleming, Sangre De Cristo, Genoa-Hugo, Heritage Christian, Denver Jewish Day, Eads
Dropped out: Fleming (5), Sangre De Cristo (8), Eads (10) |
Notes: Pretty big shake up in the 1A rankings as well. #1 Holly and #2 Weldon Valley do not move and are both looking very solid so far this year. #3 Cheyenne Wells and #4 Sierra Grande swap places but are both playing good basketball. Sierra Grande picked up their first loss to #4 Del Norte (2A), #5 Rocky Mountain Lutheran and #6 Flagler each move up 1 spot as well. #10 Shining Mountain holds onto a top ten ranking. We have 3 brand new teams into the rankings. #7 Peetz is undefeated and playing good basketball, #8 Front Range Christian is also undefeated with three very solid victories, and #9 Jim Elliot joins the rankings with a top ten loss and 2 very good victories. Dropping out this week is Fleming who started the season #1 overall but have only played 4 games and are 2-2, Sangre De Cristo, and Eads. |
