Dropped out: Delta (9), Olathe (10)

 Notes: #1 thru #7 all stay the same as they were all winners the past week. Faith Christian moved up to #8 following a loss by Delta. I had a hard time deciding what to do about the #9 and #10 spot. I went ahead and ranked Manitou Springs at #9 even though they have a record of 6-5. Their 5 losses are too 2 4A teams and to the #1, #2, and #7 teams in 3A. They also were close losses and they have also beat Kent Denver, and Lutheran who are 11 & 12. Eaton rejoins the rankings at #10 I had a very hard time deciding the final spot. I could have ranked, Kent Denver, or Lutheran, or Cedaredge but I gave Eaton the nod after going 4-0 in the past 2 weeks. 3A is very deep this year. Come regionals and state this could be very interesting. I do feel like there are three groups of teams though. #1 thru 7 are in their own class followed very closely by Faith Christian and Manitou Springs.   Then there are the other 12 or 13 teams who are looking to pull upsets of the top teams. Like I said 3A will be very fun to watch as the season progresses.

Dropped out: Akron (9)

 Notes: No movement in the top 8 at all. Haxtun picked up a loss to Wray but it was not a blowout and Holyoke slides up to #9 despite a loss to Yuma but they also beat Akron. Akron drops out of the rankings due to back to back losses and they slide all the way out of the top 15. Swink replaces Akron in the top 10 very closely followed by Limon.   I feel like we have 8 very solid teams in the top 8 right now so the teams outside the top 8 are going to have their work cut out from them to make the state bracket. This will be one great race and a ton of league matches to go will help decide if the top 8 is as solid as I think.

 Notes: 1A is not very deep this year. I feel it’s the top 8 then it’s everyone else. #9 and #10 have rotated frequently this year and no one team has stepped up to the plate. La Veta nearly pulled the upset of Antonito on Saturday. They are also brand new to the rankings replacing Cheyenne Wells.   Jim Elliot, La Veta, and Eads are all very close so any slip up could cost them a ranking spot. I am interested to see if any other teams step up and compete with the top teams. Arickaree/Woodlin, Holly, Wiley, and Cheyenne Wells I am expecting to compete with the top teams in their District but it should be an interesting run to see what happens.
