Playoff Picture Boys Basketball Class 2A
The information to get this together was pulled from the RPI and latest league standings. I every hope to do this every Tuesday or Wednesday. I am using the league standing that I updated on Monday and the RPI I am using is straight from CHSAA as of Friday 1/31/2017
Class 2A
Class 2A Reginal and State information goes as follows: Districts Determine own seeding criteria for district tournaments, Eight Districts each qualify three teams to two regions, Regionals will feature girl’s game on Thursday and the boys on Friday and conclude the regional championships/State qualifier games on Saturday.
East Regional (Districts 2, 4, 5, 7, 8 with 38 teams) will qualify five teams to state.
West Regional (Districts 1, 3, 5 with 23 teams) will qualify three teams to state.
Regionals will be seeded according to RPI, with district opponents avoided in the regional bracketing when possible. Seeds 11-15 can be adjusted to accommodate geography. Districts will jointly be responsible for the regional site, East Regional securing 2 neutral, central sites; the West Regional districts will secure one neutral, central site. The 8 state teams will be seeded by RPI, avoiding regional and, if possible, districts match-ups.
2017-2019 Regional Pairing

Quick Note:
I am going to have to double check the East Region still but I believe it’s correct. 3 teams from District 2 get 3 of the top 5 seeds and the first round bye’s in their regional tournament. The other two go to Highland and Alexander Dawson who is the #2 team from District 7. The west Region works out right now that the #1 teams from each District also have a bye. Also because each district can only qualify 3 teams there are some notable teams as of now left out. Remember that all these situations are set up off of the league standing, but they will have to finish in the top 3 in their district tournaments to make it to the Regional Tournaments. If this was the official bracket then there are plenty of top 24 teams in the RPI left out; Merino #5, Haxtun #7, Evangelical Christian #17, Limon #21, Sargent #22, Center #23. Teams that are rated outside the top 30 RPI that are getting in are; Denver Christian #31, Hoehne #35, Burlington #36, #41 South Park. We are starting to get closer to the end here with 3 weeks left before the District tournaments so getting yourself positioned for the District tournament will be key to making it to the Regional Tournament and of course everyone wants to make it to State which are the 8 pod winners. My 8 Team I think will make it right now to the State Tournament in Pod order are; Sedgwick County, Highland, Holyoke, Akron, Peyton, Del Norte, Meeker, Paonia,
