 Notes: Some shifting around in the top 8 and once again we see a new team into the rankings this week.   St. Mary’s the former #1 team lost by almost 20 to Colorado Springs Christian and CSC built a 10 point lead by half time and was able to grab a monster victory. That win really shakes up the Tri-Peaks league race as Lamar, St. Mary’s and CSC are all with 1 loss in league and was tough to figure out how to rank them. The new #1 is Sterling and they have essentially been 1B most of the season behind St. Mary’s. The new #2 is Lamar. They lost to St. Mary’s before the Christmas break but beat CSC recently.   CSC jumps to #3 and St. Mary’s falls to #4. Centauri who picked up a monster victory over Pagosa Springs this weekend falls to #5 despite their victory same with Liberty Common who falls to #6. Pagosa Springs and Manitou Springs stay put at #7 and #8 because Pagosa Springs beat Manitou Springs earlier in the year and have 3 losses to top 5 teams. St. Mary’s Academy moves up to #9. Eaton lost to Sterling big so they drop out again and the new team is #10 Colorado Academy who rejoins the rankings.

·         Others: Limon, Clear Creek, Ellicott, Highland, Norwood, Rangely, Evangelical Christian, West Grand, Fowler, Hoehne

 Notes: Well all the swaps I made last week were undone after play. Yuma was upset by Haxtun and that had some changes in the polls. Paonia hold the #1 spot for the 12 week in a row.   Del Norte moves up one spot to #2 and Swink also moves up one spot to #3. Wray jumps Soroco to move up to #4 and Soroco stays put at #5. Haxtun moves up to #6 and Yuma falls to #7.   Simla and Lyons both move up one spot and Holyoke lost to Fleming who is a top team in 1A but Simla and Lyons both won so they drop to #10. Limon and Clear Creek sitting at 11 and 12 are very dangerous teams as well and the same goes with Ellicott and Highland. Regionals will be really interesting.

 Notes: Another week of no new teams into the rankings despite South Baca losing to unranked Eads. Eads does move a bit closer to being ranked with their upset victory. Everyone essentially moves up 1 spot starting with Kim/Branson moving up to #6, then Jim Elliot #7, #8 La Veta, and South Baca falling to #9.   Briggsdale is holding down the #10 spot again. Rocky Mountain Lutheran, Eads, and Wiley are the next closest three to being ranked.
