Playoff Picture Girls Basketball Class 1A
The information to get this together was pulled from the RPI and latest league standings. I every hope to do this every Tuesday or Wednesday but for this week I am just trying to get one poster. I am using the league standing that I updated on Wednesday and the RPI I am using is straight from CHSAA as of Friday 1/27/2016.
Class 1A
Eight Districts, each qualifying two or three (as noted) to three regionals
The #1 and #2 seeds from Districts 1 and 6 will be paired for 2016-2017 (in 2017-2018 it will be Districts 1 and 8) will be paired, while the #1, #2, #3 seeds from Districts 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8 (2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 in 2017-2018) advance to a regional site. Regions 2s (4, 5, 8 2016-2017) and 3s (2, 3, 7), the nine qualify teams will be seeded by RPI, avoiding any previous district match-ups. In Region 1, District 1 and 6 #1s will play the other districts #2s. Regions 1 receives 2 state qualifiers, Regions 2 and 3 receive three state qualifiers each.

Each Region shall jointly determine it regional playoff site. Eight regional winners advance to the state tournament where they will be seeded by RPI, avoiding any previous regional or district match-ups, if possible.
Quick Note: I made a change to give the district tournament winners the byes very similar to the west region in the 2A West Region. Also to note is that all district match ups were avoided by doing this as well. I have not heard on where the regional are being held either. The 8 teams I think will qualify for the state tournament are: Antonito, La Veta, Heritage Christian, Jim Elliot, Fleming, Kit Carson, South Baca, and Kim/Branson. The state tournament is seeded by RPI avoiding Regional/District Matchup if possible. I posted a possible state tournament with these 8 teams. Remember that the district tournament has a ton to do with who qualifies for regionals.

Just one quick thing to remember that the state tournament of the final 8 teams is seeded by RPI and you avoid Regional/District Match ups if possible.
