Playoff Picture Boys Basketball Class 2A
The information to get this together was pulled from the RPI and the updated District Tournaments. The RPI I am using is straight from CHSAA as of Wednesday 2/22/2017. I am going to predict each League Tournament then the Regional tournament off of that and finally the final 8 teams for the state tournament.
Class 2A
Class 2A Reginal and State information goes as follows: Districts Determine own seeding criteria for district tournaments, Eight Districts each qualify three teams to two regions, Regionals will feature girl’s game on Thursday and the boys on Friday and conclude the regional championships/State qualifier games on Saturday.
East Regional (Districts 2, 4, 5, 7, 8 with 38 teams) will qualify five teams to state.
West Regional (Districts 1, 3, 5 with 23 teams) will qualify three teams to state.
Regionals will be seeded according to RPI, with district opponents avoided in the regional bracketing when possible. Seeds 11-15 can be adjusted to accommodate geography. Districts will jointly be responsible for the regional site, East Regional securing 2 neutral, central sites; the West Regional districts will secure one neutral, central site. The 8 state teams will be seeded by RPI, avoiding regional and, if possible, districts match-ups.

East Region is made up of Districts 2, 4, 6, 7, and 8; West Region is made up of Districts 1, 3, and 5.
Notes: With the District Tournaments underway not big upsets yet and most of the districts are down to 4 teams with the remaining teams all having a chance to make it to regionals. The only district still in the Quarterfinals stage is District 5 which has their games tonight. Also the East Region has been made clearer and they are seeding it by RPI and then avoiding as many district match ups as possible. I was able to do that in my projections of the Eastern Regional. The Western Regional is the district winners get byes and the rest is seeded by RPI avoiding district match ups. State is seeded by RPI and avoiding Regional match ups if possible. Still a lot to be determined in the Semifinals.
