Regular Season in Review and Last Week Results
Overall Record: 264-42 86% correct
With the regular season in the books I wanted to look back all the way to pre-season and see how my Pre-season rankings. I ranked only the Top 15 so one team will be missing but that is ok. I also will look at how my predictions from last week from who will make the playoffs to winners.
Class 2A
In Class 2A my top 15 was solid. I had 11 of my 15 make the playoffs with Manitou Springs (#10 preseason), Alamosa (#12), Moffat County (#14), and Valley (#15) not making the playoffs. I missed on Aspen (but who didn’t), Pagosa Springs, Resurrection Christian, D’Evelyn. All 4 of those teams really surprised me with Aspen and Pagosa Springs showing the biggest improvement.
I was close to getting all 16 teams I projected to make the playoffs. The lone miss was D’Evelyn getting in over Coal Ridge. They were separated by .010 in the RPI and OOWP was the difference between the two. My final playoff projections were spot on as well besides my mistake of switching Aspen and Machebeuf but that was fixed before the bracket was released.

Class 1A
In Class 1A my Top 15 was solid. I had 13 of the 15 make the playoffs with Grand Valley (#5 preseason) and Cedaredge (#14) not making the playoffs. I missed on Highland, Cornerstone Christian, and Colorado Springs Christian. Cornerstone Christian and Colorado Springs Christian were the surprise team in 1A this year.
1A was shaken up big time when Hotchkiss was upset by Cedaredge. I had 15 of the 16 teams making the playoffs in my final projections. The lone miss was Hotchkiss getting into the playoff but because they were upset they fell out and Colorado Springs Christian edged out Hotchkiss by .001. Seed wise I was way off on the 11 thru 16 seeds.

Class 8-Man
In Class 8-Man my Top 15 had a few holes and some very unexpected teams made the playoffs. 9 of my 15 teams made the playoffs with Akron (#2 preseason), Dayspring Christian (#7), Granada (#11), Sanford (#13), Simla (#14), and Kiowa (#15) not making the playoffs. The 7 teams that made the playoffs were McClave, Springfield, Caliche, Merino, Rocky Mountain Lutheran, Mancos, Gilpin County. I should have seen Merino and McClave being solid playoff teams but the other 5 teams were surprise teams.
In my final team projections, I was correct on 14 of 16 teams. I had South Park and Dayspring Christian making the playoffs but due to Springfield beating McClave and Caliche beat Akron we had a few different teams. The two teams that got in were Springfield and Caliche and South Park just missed the playoffs by .0002 which is one of the smallest margins I have ever seen.

In 6-Man I was near perfect on my Top 15. I had 14 of the 15 teams make the playoffs with the lone team being Flagler/Hi Plains (#5). I missed on Sierra Grande and Edison with both showing good growth from last year.
