#1 Sedgwick County faced off against #2 West in the 8-Man State Championship.  Sedgwick County was going for the 3-peat and standing in their way was a tough undefeated West Grand team.  Sedgwick County got things started in the first quarter with a fumble recovery on defense.  Then with about 9 minutes in the first quarter Sedgwick County scored making the score 7-0.  Sedgwick County then forced their second turnover of the game with an interception.  Sedgwick County scored with 2 minutes left in the first quarter to make it 14-0.  To Start the second quarter Sedgwick County completed a touchdown pass to make it 21-0.  Sedgwick County scored once again in the second quarter on a 90 yards touchdown run making the score 28-0.  Sedgwick County scored 14 more points in the third quarter to get the mercy rule going and West Grand scored 1 time and the final score was Sedgwick County 42 and West Grand 6.  Sedgwick County was able to capture the 3-peat and will still be returning tons of weapons for next year.  No teams have posted stats for the game.  Once again Congratulations to Sedgwick County on capturing the 8-Man State Championship and also to West Grand High School on a great season.
