INDIVIDUAL PICKS –

Note that these picks are not rankings…they are how I positioned kids based on placement on the bracket.  I just ran the tourney as I believed would in each head to head match. In many places, there were kids I felt were state placers but because of the system of regional placement, they meet each other head to head before the medal round. What is frustrating is that there were times when I had to choose the winner between a 10th ranked kid and a 12^th ranked athlete to move into the medal round while a proven previous medal winner had to go against another previous podium finisher in the round to place. Perhaps one day….we can work a better system that doesn’t put a state champ and state runner up in a quarter bracket).
