Week 1 is in the books. There was only a handful of games in week 1 but the action really picks up in week 2. I will give a full breakdown of the rankings for each class as the week goes on.

Notes: Just slight changes this week. I moved La Junta up to #8, Salida stayed put at #9 and Alamosa moves down to #10. Alamosa only moves down due to La Junta and Salida picking up statement wins. |
Class 1A Last Week
| 1. Limon (0-0) | 1 (2 weeks) |
| 2. Burlington (0-0) | 2 |
| 3. Centauri (0-0) | 3 |
| 4. Strasburg (1-0) | 4 |
| 5. Yuma (0-0) | 6 |
| 6. Wray (1-0) | 9 |
| 7. Crowley County (1-0) | 8 |

| 9. Cornerstone Christian (0-0) | 10 |
| 10. Meeker (0-1) | 5 |
| · Others: Paonia, Monte Vista, Olathe, Buena Vista, Colorado Springs Christian, Grand Valley, Platte Canyon,
Dropped Out: |
Notes: Meeker opens the season with a loss to 2A Aspen who was a playoff team a year ago. Meeker stays in the rankings but drops down to #10. The reason why is Aspen lost their main offensive threat and their head coach but maybe they are better than what we thought. Wray moves up to #6 following a very impressive blowout win over Highland and Crowley County follows right behind at #7. |
Class 8 man Last Week
| 1. Sedgwick County (0-0) | 1 (2 weeks) |
| 2. Holly (1-0) | 2 |
| 3. West Grand (1-0) | 3 |
| 4. Fowler (0-0) | 4 |
| 5. Hoehne (0-0) | 5 |

| 10. Rangely (1-0) | NR |
| · Others: Sanford, Sargent, Haxtun, Mancos, Pikes Peak Christian, Springfield
Dropped Out: Dayspring Christian (8), Springfield (9) |
Notes: Opening weekend in 8-Man had the bottom 3 teams in 8-man all lose and 2 of the 3 drop out of the rankings. Dayspring Christian is the lone team to hold onto a spot. Akron and Rangely are new to the rankings after impressive wins. Akron beat #9 Springfield handily and Rangely got by Norwood. Sanford also picked up an impressive win in week #1 and nearly moves into the rankings. |
Class 6 man Last Week
| 1. Stratton/Liberty (0-0) | 1 (2 Weeks) |
| 2. Otis (1-0) | 3 |
| 3. Kit Carson (0-0) | 2 |

| · Others: Briggsdale, Idalia, North Park, Mountain Valley, Walsh
Dropped Out: |
Notes: Only 1 games in the 6-man ranks in week 1 and the win was enough for me to move Otis ahead of Kit Carson at #2. Everything else stayed the same. |
