Class 3A Football Playoff Predictions First Round and Full Bracket
First, this is just my opinion. I would love to hear or see your thoughts on how the 6-man bracket turns out. Second, Good Luck to all teams! I do not cheer against any teams. I will post a full breakdown in the Quarterfinals.
Class 3A Playoff Predictions 1st Round Only
#1 Roosevelt over #16 Discovery Canyon
Roosevelt seems to be on a mission this season and they kick things off against Discovery Canyon. Look for Roosevelt to set the ton of their 3A Playoff Run.
#9 Evergreen over #8 Thompson Valley (2nd best Game)
I think this has the makings to be a great game. Two somewhat different styles of play with Thompson Valley more balanced and Evergreen much more pass oriented. I think this will all come down to defense and who makes the better adjustments.
#4 Northridge over #13 Palisade
Look for this game to fly by with both teams wanting to establish the run. Who wins the trenches will win this game. I think we are looking at a close matchup and could come down to a few things. I believe if Northridge takes care of the ball they win in a hard-fought matchup.
#5 Green Mountain over #12 Resurrection Christian
Controlling the line of scrimmage is the name of the game. Whoever wins the line of scrimmage will win this game. Both teams don’t really want to pass the ball but both QBs have been effective when doing so. Defense wins games and this is where I give Green Mountain the slight edge.
#3 Lutheran over #14 Pueblo East
I think this could also be a interesting matchup. Pueblo East will need a huge game for their QB to try and pull the upset. I think Lutheran has to many weapons and gets by Pueblo East.
#11 Frederick over #6 Summit (Best Game)
I think this will be a great game. I believe this will be a very physical game and come down to who can run the ball effectively. Summit does want to throw the ball more and Frederick wants to run the ball more. Defensive adjustments will also be key, and I expect this to be a great game.
#7 Holy Family over #10 George Washington (3rd best Game)
Two different styles of play clash here. GW wants to run the ball to open the pass and Holy Family wants to pass the ball to open the run. I think QB play is the main factor in this game and whichever QB makes the least number of mistakes will win this game.
#2 Durango over #15 Harrison
Harrison is playing very good football right now but they will face a very physical Durango team. Physical play will be the difference in this game and Durango has plenty of leadership to help them get into the Quarterfinals
