8-Man Football Playoff Predictions Semifinals and Full Bracket
First, this is just my opinion. I would love to hear or see your thoughts on how the 6-man bracket turns out. Second, Good Luck to all teams! I do not cheer against any teams. We will have a full breakdown of the games posted tomorrow by Kerry Sherman!!!
8-Man Playoff Predictions Semifinals Only
#1 Haxtun over #4 Simla
Haxtun continues their dominate run in the playoffs with back-to-back big wins. Simla reaches the Semifinals something they have not done since 2014. Simla will be facing their toughest opponent to date and will have to play their most physical game of football. Simla offensively must take care of the ball and must have their best day from their offensive leaders. Haxtun will look to play a physical style of football and wear teams down. Defensively they have been one of the best teams in the state. Offensively containing the two headed monster they have in the back field has been tough. I think experience will be a big part of this game and Haxtun has that. Look for Simla to learn from this experience and be back again.
#2 Dove Creek over #3 Mancos
Dove Creek vs Mancos 2.0. Dove Creek won the first meeting 34-26 and don’t expect must of a change in how close this game will be. Dove Creek has played well in the playoffs defeating Merino and West Grand but with Mancos coming to town again this will be their toughest game of the season. Mancos also was challenged by an up-and-coming Lyons team so both teams were tested this past week and look for another great game this week. I fully believe anyone can win this game and it will come down to the minor details.
