Class 1A Football Playoff Projections & Predictions Week 10
This year to reach the playoffs is simple. Either win your league title or be inside the top 16 of the CHSAA Seeding Index. After they select the 16 teams that make the playoffs, they use the CHSAA Seeding Index to seed the playoffs. This week I will be giving my predictions on who makes the playoffs, but I will also look at if the season ended today who would make the playoffs at the end. Good Luck to all teams.
Class 1A Playoff Predictions (Who I think make the playoffs)
This is who I think make the playoffs and who win the leagues. In Class 1A all-league champions are guaranteed a berth. The rest will be selected by CHSAA Seeding Index. Seeding is determined by CHSAA Seeding Index. I am picking my 10 At-Large teams via non-league schedules, remaining schedules, and how I think teams will do. League Champions are posted first then the At-Large Teams.

League Champion Predictions
Frontier: Strasburg
The Frontier League Title will be decided this week when Strasburg travels to face Platte Canyon.
Longs Peak: Highland
Highland will face Manual for the league title this week. A Highland win and Highland wins the league title outright. If Manual wins then it’s a 3-way tie for the league title between Highland, Flatirons Academy, and Manual. I am not sure of the tiebreaker for the league. Only the league champion will get in from this league!
North Central: Limon
Limon is your North Central League Champion. They clinched it last week with a win over Wiggins.
South Central: Centauri
The South Central League Title will be decided this week when Centauri hosts Monte Vista.
Tri-Peaks: Banning Lewis
Banning Lewis is your Tri-Peaks League Champion
Western Slope: Gunnison
One game this week inside the league could determine a lot. If Buena Vista beats Cedaredge, then it will create a three-way tie for First Place, between Meeker, Buena Vista and Gunnison. Point differential is the tie breaker between the teams tied. If Buena Vista loses to Cedaredge, then Gunnison is your league champion. Gunnison has the head-to-head win over Meeker.

Playoff Hunt for Final Spots
Cedaredge & Rye
We have narrowed the playoff field in Class 1A down to just a few teams. Platte Canyon, Cedaredge, Yuma, Monte Vista, and Rye. 3 of the 5 teams will get into the playoffs with the other two on the outside looking in. Remember that the winner of the Longs Peak League will take the #16 spot. Rye, I think has the worst shot of getting into the playoffs. They are to far back but if things fell just right they could possibly sneak in. Yuma, Platte Canyon, Cedaredge, and Monte Vista on the other hand is going to come down to the wire. Platte Canyon, I believe is in good shape even with a loss to Strasburg. Platte Canyon RPI will only drop a bit, but the main question mark is do they fall in the Maxpreps rankings if they lose. Cedaredge is in the most danger of the remaining 4. A loss to Buena Vista will see their RPI drop and push them #17 if not #18. If they stay at #14 in the Maxpreps poll but drop to #17 in RPI I don’t think they get in. Yuma if they lose to Limon could see their RPI remain the same if not improve a slight amount. Monte Vista with a loss to Centauri will see their RPI also stay around the same. Of course, if Cedaredge, Monte Vista, Yuma, or Platte Canyon win it changes everything. Monte Vista and Platte Canyon with wins would get the league title and automatically get in. With all that said I think Cedaredge will miss the playoffs with a loss to Buena Vista or it will be very close between Cedaredge, Yuma, Platte Canyon, and Monte Vista.

Note: Strasburg I moved up to #7 I think their win over Platte Canyon will boost them. Wiggins vs Wray I am picking Wray to win and that will move Wray at least to #8 if not jump to #7. I also think Platte Canyon gets in but I could see them swapping Monte Vista and Platte Canyon for distance.
