Limon
Limon currently has an 8-11 record with 2 games left in their regular season. The Badgers are currently on a 3-game losing streak which they will be looking to break against Simla on 10/26 and number 25 Byers on 10/28. Although wins are always important, especially this late into the season, if Limon were to drop these games, it is likely that they would still make Regionals, although a win against Byers would make them move up in the seeding index. Leading Limon in stats currently as the season wraps up are Teal Schmidt with 51 total blocks and 29 serving aces, Katelyn Tacha with 316 digs and 405 assists, and Jentri Marx with 210 kills.
Trinidad
The Miners are currently 14-5 in their record and have 2 games left against number 3 Rye and number 25 Sanford, both on 10/27. Trinidad has lost their last three games, and although a loss may not greatly affect their chances of making the play-offs, it is needed for confidence headed into the post-season. Leading the Miners this season are Hannah Chavez with 38 total blocks, Mone Viera-Flores with 95 serving aces and 114 kills, Jesse Gegelman with 156 digs, and Layla Maes with 132 assists.
Burlington
Burlington in 9-12 overall and has 2 games left in the regular season against the number 22 Holyoke on 10-27 and Deer Trail on 10/28. The Cougars are on a 3-game losing streak currently, and need to try to break that before they enter regionals. The team will be relying on their leaders to get them to regionals. These leaders are Trinitee Holmes with 56 total blocks and 229 kills, Azalia Fuentes with 40 serving aces, Kristen Burghart with 286 digs, and Reagan Simpson with 544 assists.
Olathe
Olathe will be looking to break their win/loss tie this week of 10-10 against Hayden on 10/28. Since Hayden is not in the playoff bubble, it is a must-win game for the Pirates to secure their spot in regionals. Stat leaders for Olathe are Sieanna McCall with 50 total blocks, Kiandra Liles with 43 serving aces and 254 assists, and Sadie Shea with 254 digs and 140 kills.
Wray
With one game left in the regular season, Wray will face number 1 Wiggins on 10/27. The Eagles are on a 6-game winning streak and even if they drop this game against Wiggins, their 9-13 record leaves them in good standings to make regionals. Leaders for Wray this season are Caroline Weber with 26 total blocks, Dori Saffer with 44 serving aces, 299 digs, 296 assists, and 198 kills.
Bishop Machebeuf
The Buffaloes currently have a 8-10 overall record and are sitting at 32 in the CHSSA seeding index. They will play Highland on 10/26 as their last regular season game. Winning this game would likely keep Bishop Machebeuf where they are sitting inside of the playoff bubble, and although a loss will not likely take them out of the bubble, it could allow other teams to jump them. Leaders for the team for the season are Katie Nichols with 26 total blocks, Hope Chavez with 25 serving aces and 101 assists, Leslie Villegas with 143 digs, and Lucia Mikita with 87 kills.
Del Norte
With one game left in the regular season, Del Norte will play Walsenburg on 10/27. The Tigers are currently 9-12 overall, and will be looking for a win this game to secure themselves a spot in Regionals. A loss in this game could be trouble for Del Norte, as it could allow other teams to jump them and take their position. Top players for Del Norte this season are Baylie Laymon with 23 total blocks, Kailee Gallegos with 45 serving aces and 406 assists, Kaitlyn Velasquez with 243 digs, and Reese Brown with 149 kills.
St. Mary’s
St. Mary’s is currently with a 9-10 overall record and will be playing Thomas MacLaren, Peyton, and Elizabeth on 10/28. The Pirates will be looking to win all of these games to ensure they stay in the playoffs, while a loss to Peyton, who is currently just outside of making it to Regionals, could be detrimental to St.Mary’s. They will be looking to their leaders to try to make sure that this scenario does not happen, and they get to play another week. These leaders are Maeve Salveson with 20 total blocks and 123 kills, Leah Flanigan with 40 serving aces and 197 assists, and Laurel Barton with 269 digs.
Clear Creek
Clear Creek is sitting with a 9-8 record with 4 games on 10/28 against Springfield, Centauri, Gunnison and number 21 Buena Vista. With Clear Creek being the second to last team currently in the playoff bubble, they are likely only able to lose against Buena Vista if they want to remain in. Losses to any other team, or if Buena Vista gets upset by any of the other teams they play, it could mean trouble for Clear Creek. Stat Leaders for the Golddiggers are Kambrey Martin with 25 total blocks, Elliot Dunbar with 46 serving aces, Trinity Cade with 239 digs and 181 kills, and Kiera Ginter with 172 assists.
Grand Valley
The Cardinals are the last team currently inside of the playoff bubble with an 8-11 overall record. They will have one last game in the regular season against West Grand on 10/28, which is a must-win game if Grand Valley wants to make it to Regionals. They will be looking for other teams to stumble and get upset in order to try to move their way up the seeding index. Stat leaders this season for Grande Valley are Chloe Gronewoller with 101 total blocks, Jaycee Pittman with 40 serving aces and 123 kills, Jocelyn Barragan with 309 digs, and Kaylae Medina with 201 assists.
Peyton
With an overall record of 9-9, Peyton is currently the first team out of getting into regionals, but have not lost their chances quit yet. They will be playing Evangel Christian Academy on 10/27, Elizabeth, St.Mary’s and Thomas MacLaren School on 10/28, where wins could raise their RPI enough to jump teams and take their place in the playoff bubble. The team will be looking to their leaders to help them achieve this. The Leaders for the Panthers are Sammie Nickell with 23 total blocks, Abbie Nickell with 55 serving aces and 499 assists, Tahjyanna McFall with 334 digs, and Savannah Kelley with 198 kills.
Golden View Classical Academy
The Sentinels are currently 11-8 and could be playing their last game of this season today against Alameda. If Golden View wants any chance of making it to Regionals, they will need to win tonight and hope for other teams to lose their must-win games too. Stat leaders for the team are Reese Urbas with 43 total blocks, Giulia Demin with 50 serving aces and 140 assists, Katie Heldt with 106 digs, and Ellie Smith with 77 kills.
Telluride
Telluride has 2 games left in the regular season against Norwood on 10/26 and Ignacio on 10/28. As with previous teams, The Miners must win these games if they want any hope of making it to Regionals. Top performers this season were Delia Noel with 19 total blocks and 140 kills, Bryn Geiger wit 42 serving aces and 156 digs, and Lillyann Mahoney with 166 assists.
Gilpin County
The Eagles are sitting at number 40 in the seeding index with a small chance of making it into the playoffs this year. They are 12-11 overall, and with all of their games completed for the regular season, their only hope is for upsets and a lot of movement from other teams. Gilpin County ends their regular season with top performances from Jiselle Osteboe with 51 total blocks, Kailee Starkey with 70 serving aces, Kenzie Marr with 236 digs, Jordanna Gagnon with 261 assists, and Elise Vincent with 204 kills.
