6-Man Football Playoff Predictions First Round and Full Bracket

First, this is just my opinion.  I would love to hear or see your thoughts on how the 6-man bracket turns out.  Second, Good Luck to all teams!  I do not cheer against any teams.  We will have a full preview of all first round game posted tomorrow or Friday by Kerry Sherman.

6-Man Playoff Predictions 1^st Round Only

#1 Stratton over #16 Hanover

Stratton has two straight regular seasons without a loss, and they are pushing for the repeat.  Stratton has played the toughest schedule in 6-Man and not sure if Hanover can hold down the offense from Stratton.  Hanover will have to play their best game of football this season.

#9 Arickaree over #8 Sierra Grande

This should be a great game between two different styles of play.  Arickaree wants to play physical football and run the ball.  They also rely on their defense to step up and make big plays.  Sierra Grande wants to use their speed and play fast football.  I think if Arickaree can play their style they get the upset.

#4 Idalia over #13 Eads

These two teams played each other last week.  Idalia won 54-24 but I don’t think that will happen this time around.  I expect a much closer game, but I still think Idalia holds on for the win.  Eads has the talent to pull this upset and I could see the upset in this game.

#5 Walsh over #12 Briggsdale

This is another game where the higher seed is on upset alert.  I think Briggsdale has the talent and shown with the win of their league that they can pull the upset.  Walsh will have to get their rushing attack going and limit the big strikes from Briggsdale.  I do think Walsh will still get the win but expect a close game.

#3 Granada over #14 Genoa-Hugo

This is another very interesting matchup.  Genoa-Hugo has played a very difficult schedule and have the weapons to challenge most teams.  The main question is can they play enough defense to slow down Granada.  I think Granada offense will help them pull away but don’t expect Genoa-Hugo to go down quietly. 

#6 Cheyenne Wells over #11 La Veta

The dreaded #6 vs #11 matchup and this one should be a good one.  Cheyenne Wells is playing their best football.  They are playing physical, and I think that is the difference in this game.  La Veta has the speed to challenge Cheyenne Wells but will have to match the physicality of Cheyenne Wells.

#10 Peetz over #7 Branson/Kim

This is going to be another great matchup.  Branson/Kim is looking to bounce back after a big loss to Cheyenne Wells.  Peetz also lost their season finale but played Otis very tight, falling 62 to 48.  Peetz is playing their best football, and I am giving them the edge.  Don’t expect the blowout and I think this is a one maybe two score game.

#2 Otis over #15 Primero

This is huge playoff experience for a junior lead Primero team.  They outperformed expectations this season.  They will face a very big and physical Otis team and learn what it will take to move deeper in the playoffs next year.  Otis may have some injury concerns but look for them to start off strong.
