Class 1A Football Playoff Predictions Semifinals and Full Bracket
First, this is just my opinion. I would love to hear or see your thoughts on how the 1A bracket turns out. Second, Good Luck to all teams! I do not cheer against any teams. A Full Preview of all matchups will be posted tomorrow or Friday.
Class 1A Playoff Predictions Semifinals Only
#1 Limon over #4 Meeker
This should be a great matchup. These two teams meet back in September and Limon secured the 28 to 7 win over Meeker. I expect another close matchup this time around. Both teams are playing good football in the playoffs and both teams have allowed minimal points in the playoffs. Controlling the line of scrimmage will be the key to this game. Look for players like Treyton Marx (Limon), Keon Bandy (Limon), Judd Harvey (Meeker), and Buzz Clatterbaugh (Meeker) to have big impacts on the defensive side of the ball. Look for Jordan Rockwell (Limon), Lohgan Bottjer (Limon), Ryan Sullivan (Meeker), and Clay Crawford (Meeker) to have impacts on the offensive side of the ball.
#7 Wray over #6 Strasburg
These two teams meet in the Semifinals last season, and it was Wray grabbing the 28 to 0 win over Strasburg. I expect a closer game this time around. Strasburg is coming off back-to-back big wins and playing very good offensive football. Their defense has also played well in the playoffs. Wray offensively has also been on fire breaking the 40-point mark in back-to-back games. Wray defensively will face a balanced attack this week. Wray will look to get their offense going again and I could easily see this game being a higher scoring game. I think both teams are playing great football and expect a great game between these two teams. Players to watch for Offensively: Landen Martin (Strasburg), DJ Cannon (Strasburg), Austin Velasco (Strasburg), Casey Midcap (Wray), Tavery Chappell (Wray), and Samuel Meisner (Wray).
