Class 2A
| Rank | Team | Notes |
| #1 | Merino Made State Tournament Runners Up | Merino is your runner up from last season as they fell to Sedgwick County in the State Championship. Merino returns a loaded roster this season including 7 of their top 8 scorers. Merino will look to push over the hump this season. Kya Piel (13.3 ppg), Makenna Sutter (12.3 ppg), Jade Powell (7.1 ppg), and Brooklyn Sutter (7.1 ppg) all return for the Rams. |
| #2 | Sedgwick County Defending State Champions | Sedgwick County is your defending State Champions. Sedgwick County defeated Merino in the State Championship last season and will look to defend their title. Sedgwick County does lose some key pieces from last season including their #2 scorer and top rebounder from last season. Sedgwick County does return Abigail Dille (15.2 ppg) along with Lainee Nein (8.5 ppg) and Avery Goddard (5.3 ppg). |
| #3 | Burlington Made State Tournament (Went 2-1, took 3rd) | Burlington made the State Tournament last season finishing in 3rd place with a win over Heritage Christian in the 3rd place game. Burlington will look to push for the State Title this season and have plenty of talent coming back to make that run. Burlington returns 4 of their top 5 scorers including Kiyarra Williams (20.4 ppg) and Trinitee Holmes (14.0 ppg). Depth will have to step up this season if Burlington plans to push for that State Title. |
| #4 | Limon Made State Tournament (Went 2-1, took 5th) | Limon made the State Tournament last season finishing in 5th place defeating Del Norte in the 5th place game. Limon will also look to stay on the winners side of the bracket and push for the state title. Limon will have a few holes to fill returning just 3 of their top 5 scorers. Jentri Marx (11.5 ppg) and Katelyn Tacha (9.8 ppg) both return as the top scorers but depth scoring could be a concern. |
| #5 | Akron Lost at Regionals to Rangely | Akron did not make the State Tournament last season falling in the Regional Finals to Rangely. Akron will look to push for a State Tournament berth this season. Akron returns 6 of their top 7 scorers including their top 4 from last season. Addi Kessinger (20.4 ppg) and Kinsey Grauer (10.5 ppg) will look to be leaders but they key for success for Akron is who else steps up to take pressure off Kessinger. |
| #6 | Rangely Made State Tournament (Went 0-2) | Rangely made the State Tournament last season going 0-2 but gaining valuable experience for a younger roster. Rangely, I believe had just 1 senior on the roster and will return their top 8 scorers from last season. Rangely will look to build off last season success. Rangely will look for Ryann Mergelman (10.9 ppg), Miah Wren (9.9 ppg) and Annika Cantrell (9.4 ppg) to take a big step forward this season. |
| #7 | Wiggins Made State Tournament (Went 0-2) | Wiggins made the State Tournament last season but finished 0-2 for back-to-back season. Wiggins will look for another State Tournament appearance but a deeper run. Wiggins will have some pieces to replace mainly their #2 scorer and top assist leader. Wiggins will return Kennedy Kerr (11.1 ppg), Riely Hunt (8.7 ppg), and Tyleigh Fehseke (5.9 ppg). Wiggins will have the talent for a deep run, and we will see if they put everything together. |
| #8 | Fowler Lost at regionals to Wiggins | Fowler did not make the State Tournament last season falling to Wiggins in the regional finals. Fowler will hope to make the State Tournament this season. Fowler returns plenty of talent with 7 of their top 8 scorers coming back and their top 5. Randi Maestas (11.2 ppg) and Jaslyn Bates (8.4 ppg) both return to be leaders but they key will be the growth of the juniors this season. |
| #9 | Mancos Lost at regionals to Limon | Mancos did not make the State Tournament last season falling at regionals to Limon. Mancos returns everyone from a season ago and we will see the growth of this team. Mancos will look for Claire Goodwin (16.8 ppg), Quincy Montoya (12.2 ppg), and Teya Yeomans (9.9 ppg) to be leaders but the main question mark will be who else steps up this season after the top 3 scorers. |
| #10 | Hoehne Lost at regionals to Merino | Hoehne did not make the State Tournament last season falling to Merino in the Regional Finals. Hoehne returns a talented roster from last season and should be poised to push for a State Tournament berth. Hoehne will look to stay healthy and they return their top 5 scorers from last season. Janae Ramos (9.8 ppg), Kaylah Crosson (8.3 ppg), and Ellegra Gutierrez (7.8 ppg) are back to be leaders and can this team take that next step. |
| #11 | Simla Lost at Regionals to Del Norte | Simla did not make the State Tournament last season falling to Del Norte in the Regional Finals. Simla will look to take that next step and reach the State Tournament. Simla will have some holes to fill losing their #2 and #4 scorers from last season. Simla will return Kylie Maranville (13.0 ppg) and Katie Gotschall (8.0 ppg). These two will be tasked with being leaders this season. Depth stepping up this year will be key to Simla taking that next step. |
| #12 | Sanford Lost at Regionals to Burlington | Sanford did not make the State Tournament last season falling in the regional finals to Burlington. Sanford was a younger team last season with just 2 seniors on the roster. Sanford will turn to a group of Junior to take the next step. Shasta Bond (5.9 ppg), Brooklyn Reynolds (5.0 ppg), and Riley Willett (4.5 ppg) must step up this season. Scoring is my main concern for Sanford early in the season. |
| #13 | Haxtun Lost at regionals to Fowler | Haxtun did not make the State Tournament last season falling to Fowler at regionals. Haxtun will return a talented roster and look to make the push for State. Haxtun returns 4 of their top 5 scorers from last season including their top 4. Haxtun also returns their top 2 rebounders and assist leaders. Haxtun will look for Bobbi Starkebaum (11.2 ppg), Cassidy Goddard (11.1 ppg), and Emily Anderson (5.6 ppg) to be leaders this season. |
| #14 | Wray Lost at Regionals to Sedgwick County | Wray did not make the State Tournament last season falling in the Regional Finals to Sedgwick County. Wray will lose a few key pieces from last season including their top scorer but have a talented senior group coming back. Wray will look for Sidney Feeman (8.2 ppg), Sydnee Cheek (6.8 ppg), and Sharon Greek (5.4 ppg) to take a big step forward this season. |
| #15 | Caliche Lost at regionals to Gilpin County | Caliche did not make the State Tournament last season falling to Gilpin County at Regionals. Caliche took a big step last season reaching regionals and will look to take another step this season. Caliche will return their entire roster from last season and will look for key depth pieces to step up. Karsyn Huss (18.6 ppg) and Ava Hernandez (9.8 ppg) will be the leaders and we will see how much Caliche has improved. |
