I am just going to pick the round of 32 this week but I will also post my full prediction at the end of this article. I will dive more into depth on the matchups for the Sweet 16. The Girls Sweet 16 plays on 2/23.

#1 Holy Family over #32 Eagle Ridge Academy

#16 Moffat County over #17 Lamar

This could be one of the better matchups in the opening round. Both teams have shown flashes. I think having home-court will be key and this is a long trip from Lamar to Craig.

#8 Kent Denver over #25 Kennedy

#9 Peak to Peak over #24 DSST-Cedar

Resurrection Christian Region

#4 Resurrection Christian over #29 The Academy

#20 Berthoud over #13 Jefferson Academy

This is one of my upset picks of the opening round. I think Berthoud playing a 4A/5A schedule will be ready for this game.

#5 Pagosa Springs over #28 Manitou Springs

#12 Eaton over #21 Coal Ridge

This is another interesting matchup. Both teams are normal participates in the State Tournament and this should be a good matchup.

D’Evelyn Region

#2 D’Evelyn over #31 Arrupe Jesuit

#15 Alamosa over #18 Severance

Alamosa started the season hot and will look to find the magic of the opening part of the season. Alamosa has shown they can hang with the top teams but getting over the hump is key. Severance will again look to know off the mean moose on their home court.

#10 Delta vs #23 Middle Park

Riverdale Ridge Region

#3 Riverdale Ridge over #30 Weld Central

#14 Classical Academy over #19 Summit

This is another interesting matchup. Summit will have to make this a chaotic game to pull the upset. TCA is battle tested.
