I am just going to pick the round of 32 this week but I will also post my full prediction at the end of this article. I will dive more into depth on the matchups for the Sweet 16. The Boys Sweet 16 plays on 2/24.

#1 Kent Denver over #32 D’Evelyn

#16 Pueblo Central over #17 Lamar

This is an intriguing matchup as Lamar has shown flashes of being able to upset top teams in Class 3A.

#8 Severance over #25 Alamosa

#9 DSST-Green Valley Ranch over #24 Steamboat Springs

Steamboat Springs ended the season winning 6 of their last 7 games including wins over Moffat County, Delta, and Aspen. They did fall to Coal Ridge in their final game but Steamboat Springs could spring the upset.

#5 Colorado Academy over #28 Middle Park

#12 Peak to Peak over 21 James Irwin

I think this could be one of the better games of the opening round. Peak to Peak does have better wins on the resume and they will be tasked with stopping a top scorer in 4A.

#4 Pagosa Springs over #29 Delta

#13 Holy Family over #20 Denver West

#2 Resurrection Christian over #31 Basalt

#18 Eaton over #15 Fort Lupton

I think this will be a great matchup. Eaton has played a tough schedule and I think helps them get by Fort Lupton.

#10 Aspen over #23 Berthoud

I think this is another game that could be interesting to watch.

#11 Sterling over #22 Coal Ridge

#3 Lutheran over #30 Eagle Ridge Academy

#19 Sierra over #14 DSST-Conservatory Green

Sierra is more battle tested and should be ready to roll. Sierra does have a solid win over Pueblo Central earlier in the year but they dropped do to playing a 5A schedule.
