Class 3A Girls State Tournament Predictions
We are a few days from the State Tournament kicking off. I have decided to deem Tuesday as Prediction Tuesday. I will give my predictions for all 3 Classes boys and girls. Tomorrow we will have something special for all 3 classes boys and girls. If you would like to share your predictions shoot me a message or email, would love to talk basketball with anyone! Also, remember we are not cheering against any team, this is something we have done since we started the website, and we are wrong all the time!
Class 3A Girls Regional Prediction Review
Class 3A girls had the least number of upsets of all the smaller classes. Just one upset (seed wise) happened with #9 Strasburg advancing to the Elite 8. I picked 8 of the 8 teams to make it to the Elite 8.

Elite 8 Predictions
#1 Peyton over #9 Strasburg
These two teams have met at least once this season. I have said it countless times this year that it’s not easy to beat a team a second or third time in a season. Look for each team to adjust and look for this to be a great matchup.
#4 Centauri over #5 Yuma
Two very traditional tournament teams meting in the Great 8 and both teams are playing good basketball. Both teams want to control the tempo and don’t expect a ton of points to be scored. I really think this game can go either way.
#2 C.S Christian over #7 Highland
C.S Christian will look to keep the offense flowing as the defending State Champions look to defend their title. C.S Christian rolled thru their region winning both games by 40+ points. Highland was tested by Roaring Fork in the regional finals 64 to 56. C.S Christian has the experience and proves to be the difference.
#3 Grand Valley over #6 St. Mary’s
I believe this is going to be a fantastic matchup and come down to the wire. St. Mary’s was tested by a pesky Ignacio team in the regional finals. Grand Valley won both games at regional by 20+ points. Grand Valley has a concern if their top player is not playing. I think either team can come out of this game.

As I mentioned above, I think we are in for four great games to open the state tournament. I think all four games will be competitive this year. It will come down to who can handle the pressure of playing under the lights at Blue Arena. I plan on doing daily updates after each round.
