Class 3A Saturday Schedule and Quick Update
We will have a recap article of all games Saturday for Class 3A out tomorrow or Monday. Here is a quick recap of the Semifinals games in Class 3A plus a look at today’s schedule.
Boys
#3 Vanguard over #10 Banning Lewis 55 to 45
Banning Lewis led thru 3 quarter but Vanguard was able to have a big fourth quarter to complete the comeback and advance into the State Championship.
#4 Yuma over #1 Forge Christian
The second meeting between these two teams and it would not disappoint the second time around. Yuma was able to play a great defensive game and hold Forge Christian to just 41 points. Yuma will advance to the 3A State Championship and look for another great defensive effort.
Girls
#2 C.S Christian over #6 St. Mary’s 53 to 8
C.S Christian would set the tone early in this game and would never look back. C.S Christian had one of their most dominate games of the season and advance into the Class 3A State Championship.
#1 Peyton over #5 Yuma 36 to 28
This was a fantastic defensive matchup as Peyton proved they can win the low scoring games. This was a very tight game heading into the fourth quarter where Peyton would outscore Yuma 15 to 8. Peyton will advance to the Class 3A State Championship.
