TUESDAY
#2 LAMAR (12-0) VS 2A #3 COLORADO SPRINGS CHRISTIAN (10-1)
Lamar owns a 6-0 mark in the Tri-Peaks, while CSCS is 5-0. They’re the only two teams without a league loss, so the winner gets sole possession of first place in the Tri-Peaks. The Lady Thunder already have a win in pocket over third place The Vanguard School, while CSCS plays the Lady Coursers next Thursday. A win by Lamar won’t lock up the title, but it would give the Lady Thunder the tiebreaker over the two closest challengers.
#4 ALAMOSA (12-2) VS #24 CENTAURI (6-9)
Alamosa is 2.5 games clear of Centauri and Bayfield in the Intermountain. The Lady Mean Moose can all but lock up the league title with a win. Centauri needs to win and then get a lot of help to remain in contention for the crown. The same goes for Bayfield, who gets its second shot at Alamosa on Friday.
#5 RESURRECTION CHRISTIAN (14-2) VS 4A #6 UNIVERSITY (8-2)
Resurrection Christian is third in the Patriot and still has a date with Eaton later in the month, while University sits fourth and has already lost to both Eaton and Platte Valley. The Lady Cougars stay in the hunt for a league championship with a victory. University is looking to play spoiler.
#10 STARGATE SCHOOL (15-2) VS #17 FORGE CHRISTIAN (6-7)
#11 PEAK TO PEAK (12-4) AT #20 COLORADO ACADEMY (9-5)
Stargate and Peak to Peak are both unbeaten in the Metro, and wins by both would keep them on track for a potential league championship clash in the regular season finale. Both have several other top match-ups in the next three weeks, so every outing inside the league is big.
#21 THE CLASSICAL ACADEMY (8-5) AT 4A #16 FALCON (12-4)
It’s a showdown of the two leaders in the CSML North, the first of two between them in a 16-day period. If either team sweeps the series, they most likely win the title. The rematch is October 24th, at TCA.
#42 DSST: CONSERVATORY GREEN (8-8) AT #30 KIPP DENVER COLLEGIATE (9-3)
DSST: CG is tied for the top spot in the City league with DSST: Montview, while the Lady White Tigers are tied for third with DSST: GVR. Just one game separates first from fourth. Of the four, KIPP and DSST: Montview have the best shot at making regionals as an at large. The Lady Hornets currently need to win the league to have a path to the bracket.
#26 ARRUPE JESUIT (11-4) AT 4A ALAMEDA (7-8)
Sole possession of first place in the Frontier is up for grabs with the co-leaders squaring off. The Lady Generals have won their last four in sweeps, while Alameda is 4-1 in the last five, with the last two going a full five sets.
WEDNESDAY
#42 DSST: CG VS #44 DSST: GREEN VALLEY RANCH (10-4)
Pending the results of their Tuesday night matches, this could be a fight for sole ownership of the lead in the City league. If both lose on Tuesday, there would be a four-way tie for first entering the contest. Both likely have to win the league to make regionals.
#7 GUNNISON (13-2) AT #29 ASPEN (7-6)
Gunnison leads the Western Slope by a game and a half over both Aspen and Cedaredge. The Cowgirls just beat Cedaredge last Tuesday, so a win on the road would give them the tiebreaker over both challengers. An Aspen win creates a three-way tie atop the standings.
THURSDAY
#21 TCA AT 4A #26 ELIZABETH (10-7)
This is the first of two meetings between TCA and Elizabeth, which will either help settle the CSML North, or really jumble it up. Elizabeth has a league loss to Falcon, so the Lady Cardinals can’t afford another one here against the Lady Titans.
#20 MIDDLE PARK (8-5) AT #26 ARRUPE JESUIT
Middle Park is fourth in the Frontier, but only one game back of Arrupe Jesuit and Alameda. The Lady Panthers can keep their league title hopes alive with a win. A loss pretty much dashes those hopes.
FRIDAY
#4 ALAMOSA AT #14 BAYFIELD (7-6)
As noted earlier, Bayfield needs to beat Alamosa to keep any league title hopes alive. However, the Lady Wolverines do appear to be safely in the regional field, barring a collapse down the stretch. If they can spring an upset, a hosting spot could be a possibility.
