Black Forest

Three teams are making it to the postseason: Simla, Calhan and Fountain Valley

1. Simla (21-1)

Simla leads the CHSAA seeding index as well as the Black Forest League which they have done since the beginning of the season. With a 21-1 overall record and a 7-0 league record, Simla will now just need to hold off Sedgwick County in tomorrow’s game to hold the number one overall seed going into the playoffs. Simla’s only loss so far this season has been to the 1A team Merino, which means Simla should make some noise this year in the state tournament as they have already gotten wins over many of the top teams who will be joining them this year.

27. Calhan (13-7)

Custer County sits at 27 in the CHSAA Seeding index  with a 13-7 overall record and a 6-1 league record, and will be joining Simla in the postseason race. They will play two games to end the season tomorrow, which will be against Crowley County and Custer County.

31. Fountain Valley (12-5)

Fountain Valley ended their season with a 3-0 win over Miami-Yoder and are sitting at 31 in the CHSAA Seeding Index.  Fountain Valley is likely to get into the playoffs unless there are several major shakeups that occur but should be joining their league-mates in the postseason.

30. Loveland Classical (13-7)

Loveland Classical has a 13-7 overall record with a 9-1 league record and are 2nd in the Foothills league. Sitting at number 30 in the CHSAA Seeding Index, Loveland Classical is likely to make it to the postseason but will not want to see very many upsets to avoid being pushed out or lower in the seeding index. They will need to win as many games as they can to ensure that they stay in the playoff bubble.
