#1 Haxtun over #16 Hoehne

A pair of league champions face off in this game. Both teams want to be physical at the point of attack and look for the more physical team to win.

#8 Sanford over #9 Springfield Best Game of the Weekend

Sanford is coming in with some huge momentum after upsetting Dove Creek to end the season. Springfield played tough with McClave thru half and will look to play a complete game. Should be a great matchup.

#4 Mancos over #13 Plateau Valley

Plateau Valley will have to matchup the physical play of Mancos. Mancos will look to counter the passing attack of Plateau Valley. I like Mancos physical play in this game.

#5 Byers over #12 Merino

We will be looking to see how Byers handles the physical play of Merino. Byers cannot overlook Merino as they have played tough in their games in the plains league.

#2 McClave over #15 Dayspring Christian

McClave will have to be able to stop the run of Dayspring Christian. McClave will look to get their offense clicking and advance into the Quarterfinals.

#7 Simla over #10 Dove Creek 3^rd Best Game of the Weekend

I was torn on this game as I think we are in for a good one. Dove Creek is used to being road warriors but their style of play fits best for cold days and Saturday could be just that. Simla will have to be able to play physical football to advance into the Quarterfinals.

#3 Akron over #14 Clear Creek

Clear Creek is playing much better Football but how will they handle a team that wants to punch it down your throat. Clear Creek to upset Akron will have to play physical football, something they have not seen in their league.

#11 Sedgwick County over #6 West Grand 2^nd Best Game of the Week

Going with the upset at a typical spot which is the 6 vs 11 matchup. West Grand will have to match the physical play of Sedgwick County. I believe either team can win this game and playing mistake free football will be key.
