Class 1A Volleyball State Tournament Predictions

We have reached the end of the Volleyball season, and the final 12 teams will compete for the State Title. I will post predictions today for the first round and second round of the winner bracket. I will also post my entire bracket predicted all the way to the State Championship. We will have full breakdowns of Class 1A, 2A, and 3A posted later today.

Thursday Game Predictions

First Round-Winner Bracket-Thursday

M2: #8 Hi-Plains over #9 Sargent @8am

Hi-Plains may be playing their best Volleyball of the season. They have a signature win over Stratton and took care of business at regional defeating ECA, 3 to 0. Sargent went five sets in their regional match with La Veta to advance to the State Tournament.

M3: #5 McClave over #12 Weldon Valley @9:30am

Both McClave and Weldon Valley are playing good Volleyball, and this should be a great matchup. Weldon Valley defeated #7 Flatirons Academy 3 to 1 at regionals and McClave won 3-0 over Prairie. I think this could be one of the better matchups of regionals.

M6: #6 Stratton over #11 Briggsdale @11am

Stratton had to battle with Cheyenne Wells to advance to the state tournament winning 3 to 1. Briggsdale cruised to a 3-0 win over Eads. This should be another good matchup. Briggsdale could be playing their best Volleyball of the season.

M5: #7 Dove Creek over #10 Cheraw @12:30pm

Cheraw dominated at regionals winning 3 to 0 and not giving up over 20 points in any of the sets. Cheraw the past two seasons has played well at regionals and are looking for a deep run. Dove Creek was also dominate at regionals winning 3-0 and gave up 15 points or less in their sets. The hardest match to predict and looking forward to this match tomorrow.

M17: #1 Merino over #8 Hi-Plains of M2 @2pm

M18: #4 Otis over #5 McClave @3:30pm

M19: #3 Fleming over #6 Stratton @5pm

M20: #2 Idalia #7 Dove Creek @6:30pm
