Class 2A
| Rank | Team | Notes |
| #1 | Simla Made State Tournament (Went 2-1, 3rd Place) | Simla made the State Tournament last year finishing in 3rd place. They had one of the most exciting games in the 3rd place game that saw over 20 made three pointers. Simla does lose one key piece for rebounding but have plenty back for a deep run. Simla returns 5 of their top 6 scorers from a season ago. Tatum Kocerha (17.3 ppg), Caston Cox (15.1 ppg), and Treven Kocerha (9.7 ppg) all return to be leaders for a loaded Simla team. |
| #2 | Crowley County Made State Tournament (Went 2-1, 5th Place) | Crowley County made the State Tournament last year finishing in 5th place. They final got over the hump of winning a game at the State Tournament now can they push for a state title is the question. Crowley County does lose a big piece from last years team but return 7 of their top 8 scorers from last season. Gunner Hughes (21.0 ppg), Anthoni Walter (9.6 ppg), and Malaki McNeal (6.9 ppg) all return for Crowley County. |
| #3 | Sanford Made State Tournament (Went 2-1, Runner Up) | Sanford made the State Tournament and finished as the runner up again. Sanford will look to close the deal this season and return plenty of weapons and depth to make another big push. Sanford does lose 3 of their top 5 scores but have key leadership back in Trason Gartrell (10.6 ppg) and Ben Sittler (10.3 ppg). Sanford will turn to a big Junior class to step up and help lead them into another deep run. |
| #4 | Plateau Valley Lost at Regionals to Fowler | Plateau Valley did not make the State Tournament last season being upset at Regionals by Fowler. Plateau Valley will have plenty of key pieces to replace especially in the depth scoring and their bench will have to step up. Plateau Valley does return their top 3 scorers from last season but their #4, #5, #6 and #7 scorers all graduate. Jack Vig (16.8 ppg), Jackson Bevan (10.1 ppg), and Colter Ralston (8.1 ppg) will lead a Plateau Valley team looking to get back to the state tournament. |
| #5 | Limon Defending State Champions | Limon is your defending State Champions in Class 2A. They will be looking to reload this season as they do lose key pieces from last years team. Limon will lose their top 3 scorers from a year ago including the POY. Limon will turn to Aiden Kollath (6.6 ppg), Keegan Mellott (6.1 ppg), and John Bee (4.0 ppg) to step up for the Badgers. Don’t count Limon out as they have plenty of tradition and athletes to be a contender right away. |
| #6 | Machebeuf Lost in the Elite 8 (3A) | Machebeuf had a very successful season a year ago finishing as the #2 overall seed but falling in the Elite 8 to Banning Lewis. Machebeuf was a junior heavy team last season and with another year of experience should be a real threat yet again. Machebeuf does lose their #2 scorer but have 7 of their top 8 scorers back. Miles Edgar-Parchman (15.6 ppg), John Menke (11.5 ppg), and Jack Menke (10.3 ppg) are all back for Machebeuf |
| #7 | Heritage Christian Made State Tournament (Went 1-2, 4th Place) | Heritage Christian made the State Tournament last year going 1-2 and finish in 4th Place. Heritage Christian lose some key pieces from last year’s team including 3 of their top 5 scorers. Depth scoring is my main concern for Heritage Christian and replacing their top scorer and rebounder from last season. Heritage Christian will look to Levi Hermsen (12.6 ppg) and Alec Lundy (8.6 ppg) to step up and lead Heritage Christian back into the playoffs. |
| #8 | Byers Lost at Regionals to Crowley County | Byers did not make it to the state tournament falling at Regionals to Crowley County. Byers will have one last shot at pushing for the State Tournament brining back nearly their entire roster. Byers returns 7 of their top 8 scorers and will be senior heavy. Byers will look to Quincy Eacret (13.0 ppg), Chase Long (10.1 ppg), and Cameron Eastwood (6.0 ppg) to step up and lead the Bulldogs into the State Tournament. |
| #9 | Akron Lost at Regionals to Limon | Akron did not make the state tournament last year falling at regionals to Limon. Akron will bring back plenty of talent to push for a State Tournament berth but do have a few holes to fill losing their #2 scorer and 6th man off the bench. Akron will look for Anderson Filla (13.0 ppg), Caleb Poss (8.7 ppg), and Tucker Stahn (5.1 ppg) to be leaders this season. |
| #10 | Mancos Lost at Regionals to Limon | Mancos did not make the State Tournament last season falling to Limon in the Regional Finals. Mancos will have some reloading to do losing 4 of their top 5 scorers but have plenty of leadership back to push for a trip to the state tournament. Mancos will look to Kaiden Wyatt (11.8 ppg) to be the leader this season but also look for Kaleb Schmitt (6.0 ppg) and Cory Carver (2.2 ppg) to step up this year for the Bluejays. |
| #11 | Sedgwick County Lost at Regionals to Mancos | Sedgwick County did not make it to the State Tournament last season falling to Mancos at regionals. Sedgwick County took a big step forward last season and should be a contender from a State Tournament berth. Sedgwick County will return their top 3 scorers from last season in Tate Renquist (10.7 ppg), Jace Ehmke (9.2 ppg), and Jaxon Carlson (8.8 ppg) |
| #12 | Golden View Classical Lost at Regionals to Sanford | Golden View Classical did not make the State Tournament last season falling to Sanford at regionals. Golden View Classical will have a few holes to fill from last years team but they return their top 3 scorers from last season. Luke Chronowski (9.3 ppg), George Hermanson (9.3 ppg), and Jacob Walker (9.2 ppg) all return to lead Golden View to a deeper playoff run. |
| #13 | Haxtun Did not make Regionals | Haxtun did not make the regional tournament last season going 5-15 and playing a very young roster a season ago. Haxtun this year will return 7 of their top 8 scorers and have leadership back after being so young a season ago. Haxtun will look for Chase Goddard (9.6 ppg), Ryland Wolff (7.8 ppg), and Colin Cone (7.6 ppg) to take big steps forward to get Haxtun into regionals and possibly a deeper push. |
| #14 | Holyoke Lost at Regionals to Heritage Christian | Holyoke did not make it to the State Tournament last season falling at regionals to Heritage Christian. Holyoke will have some key pieces to replace losing 3 of their top 6 scorers and their top rebounder rom last season. Holyoke will return Reid Sprague (13.8 ppg) and Colby Weber (7.0 ppg) to help the inexperience of Holyoke. |
| #15 | Swink Lost at Regionals to Denver Christian | Swink did not make it to the State Tournament last season falling to Denver Christian at regionals. Swink will have some reloading to do this year to make another push for State. Swink will return 5 of their top 6 scorers from last season but will have to replace their top scorer from last season. Nate Cabrera (13.7 ppg) and Nick Paolucci (5.8 ppg) are back as leaders for Swink. |
| #16 | Fowler Made State Tournament went 0-2 | Fowler made the State Tournament a season ago going 0-2. Fowler will have some key holes to fill offensively but bring back an experienced senior group that must become leaders this season. Hagen McCuistion (6.4 ppg), Cael True (5.1 ppg), and Dominic Armijo (4.7 ppg) must step up as leaders for Fowler this season. |
