The matchup we have all been waiting for!  Both teams will hit the field in Pueblo at Noon at Dutch Clark Stadium.  We will be providing updates on Facebook plus posting highlights as we get them!  Good Luck to all teams!

#1 Wray (12-0) vs #2 Forge Christian (12-0), Saturday 11/30 at 12pm

Wray punched their ticket into the State Championship with a 52 to 15 win over Buena Vista.  Wray was in a battle in the first quarter tied at 7 before jumping out to a 27 to 15 lead going into halftime.  Wray never looked back, outscoring Buena Vista 25 to 0 in the second half.  Wray defensively gave up a long run to start the game but locked down after that.  Wray had 1 sack by Eric Tracy and a INT by Austin Collins in the endzone that ended a drive by Buena Vista.  Samuel Meisner led all tacklers with 12 and 2 TFL.  Bryson Lewis and Austin Collins also had over 10 tackles in the game.  Offensively Wray had a huge day racking up over 538 yards of total offense.  QB Casey Midcap had a monster day going 10 of 13 for 240 yards and 4 days and rushing for another TD.  RB Samuel Meisner also had a big day with 142 yards and 2 TDs.  WR/RB Austin Collins had 90 yards receiving and 2 receiving TD and rushed for 59 yards. 

Forge Christian punched their ticket into the State Championship with a 37 to 0 win over the defending State Champions the Limon Badgers.  Forge Christian once again played phenomenal defense holding Limon to 0 points.  Forge Christian was in a battle in the first quarter leading just 10 to 0 and they used their FG kicker well as he made 3 FGs in the first half to help Forge Christian lead 16 to 0 at halftime.  Forge Christian would get things going in the second half and defeat Limon.  Forge Christian defensively was led by Dante Vigil who had 17 Tackles and 1 TFL.  Carson Craig had 12 tackles to break the double-digit mark.  Forge Christian had 5 sacks in the game with Carson Craig and Ethan Maxwell each recording a pair.  Forge Christian also had a fumble recovery by Quentin Torres.  Offensively Forge Christian had a big day racking up 458 yards of total offense.  QB Sullivan Strange once again led the offense going 10 of 17 for 159 yards, 1 passing TD, and 116 yards rushing.  RB Dante Vigil lead all rushers with 129 yards, 1 passing TD, and 1 rushing TD.  WR Quentin Torres lead all receiver with 50 yards receiving and WR Joey Shelton had a pair of receiving TDs.

Series: These two teams have not meet since the MaxPreps Era.  They did have four common opponents.  Wray defeated Wiggins (42-7), Platte Canyon (42-0), Yuma (44-0), and Limon (42-7).  Forge Christian defeated Wiggins (41-0), Platte Canyon (62-0), Yuma (42-0), and Limon (37-0).
