Class 2A Wrestling Weekend Update by Carlos V
Well fans we are at the half way point of the season. We got some exciting tournaments this weekend. We got the Pagosa Springs Invitational. There will be a mixture of 2A teams and 3A teams, with some teams from New Mexico and Utah and Arizona. As for other tournaments around the state, there is the Rye Tournament as well as the Wiggins Tournament. Both these Tournament will have also a mixture of 2a 3a also. A couple of top ten teams going out of state are North Fork and Meeker where they will be wrestling in Utah and the Tournament of Champions. So it seems to be a good weekend of wrestling.
As for last weekend there were a couple of tournamnts around the state. The West Grand tournament where we saw Meeker winning the tournament with West Grand taking second. Another tournament was held in La Veta with Alamosa JV winning the tournament and Primero taking second.
Just an update there will be a 2lb allowance which started the 1st of the year. So 106 can weight 108 now and so on. There is gonna be alot of movement in weights the next couple of weeks.
