Class 2A Wrestling Update by Carlos V
Well fans were are almost 3/4 of the way through the season. Wrestlers are getting down to there weights that they will be wrestling at regionals.
Last week results
At the Rocky Mountain invite we saw Rocky Ford winning the tournament with 4 champions and 5 other placers. We also saw Monte Vista tie for 3rd with 10.placers and saw Center take 5th with 2 champions and 4 placers and Mancos finished 9th with 1 champion and 5 placers.
At the Wiggins Tournament the home team took 2nd with 3 champions and 4 placers. Akron placed 3rd with 2 champions and 4 placers.
This week we have the Fight at the Fork held at North Fork high school. This tournament will have a mixture of 2A,3A,and 4A teams from the western slope as well as from part of the east and the south of the state. Also the Mel Smith Invitational held at Florence. That also will have a mixture of 2A,3A and 4A teams as well.
This week will be a fun week of wrestling. If your in any of these areas stop by and watch some good wrestling.
