Class 2A Wrestling Update by Carlos V
Well wrestling we are getting close to the big ship. Two weeks until regionals. This season has gone by so fast. Kids should be getting to the weights they will be wrestling at for regionals.
This past weekend results.
At the Mel Smith Invitational we saw Cederage winning the tournament with one champion and 7 placers, followed by Canon City, Eaton, Centauri, and Brush to round out the top 5.
At the Fight at the Fork we saw North Fork winning the tournament with 250 points. They had 3 champions and 9 placers. Palisade took second and Center was in third by .5 points. West Grand, Hayden, rounding out the top 5.
This weekend we have the Butch Melton Invitational in Ignacio, the Custer County Invitational, Randy and Naomi duals held in Centauri. The duals will have Center, Monte Vista, Trinadad from 2A.
It should be a good weekend of wrestling. Good luck to all wrestlers.
