We have one month left of regular season play and we wanted to update our League Predictions plus update our regional contenders. We will have the 32 teams we think make the playoffs plus We will also list the 3 to 6 players we think are in the hunt for the MHPR Player of the League as well. Remember this is all for fun and we are not cheering against any team.

3A/2A/1A San Juan

The 3A/2A/1A San Juan League will get an automatic berth into regionals. Only the top team regardless of Class will get the automatic berth. Dove Creek is my new pick to win the San Juan League. Dove Creek, Ridgway, and Nucla would get to regionals if the season ended today. Ouray is also a regional contender sitting at #36 but will need a strong February.

My predictions for San Juan

The Mile High League will get an automatic berth into regionals. Only the top team regardless of Class will get the automatic berth. Bishop Machebeuf is my pick to win the Mile High League. A good portion of the league are regional contenders will 11 of the 13 schools being regional contenders. Clear Creek and Gilpin County are not in regional contention both sit outside the top 40. 8 school currently would get into regionals if it started today.

My predictions for 3A/2A/1A/ MileHigh

League Champion: Bishop Machebeuf

Regional Contenders: Bishop Machebeuf, Heritage Christian, SkyView Academy, Lyons, Estes Park, Flatirons Academy, Dayspring Christian, Union Colony Prep, Belleview Christian, Dawson School, and Front Range Christian

Crowley County, Fowler, Swallows Charter, Hoehne, and Las Animas would get into regionals if the season ended today. Swink is also in the mix for regionals sitting at #40 but need a strong finish.

Sedgwick County, Akron, Haxtun, Holyoke, and Merino would all get into 2A Regionals with Caliche in the mix for Class 1A. There is a good shot for a team or two to host a regional from this league.

Loveland Classical, Golden View Classical, STEM Highlands, Two Roads Charter, Twin Peaks Classical would all get into regionals if the season ended today.

Plateau Valley remains my pick to win the Western Slope League. 6 of the 10 teams in the Western Slope League are regional contenders with Rangely, Hayde, West Grand, and Soroco being outside of regional contention. Plateau Valley would be the only host school currently.

Byers, Stratton, Limon, and Burlington are the regional contenders and if the season ended today only Burlington would not get to regionals from the teams listed one line up.

The 2A Black Forest will get an automatic berth into regionals due to having more than 5 teams. Simla remains my pick to win the Black Forrest League. If the season ended today only Simla would get into regionals as they are the only team ranked inside the top 32. Liberty Tree, Calhan, and Kiowa are regional contenders but all three sit outside the top 32 currently.

My predictions for Black Forest

League Champion: Simla

Regional Contenders: Simla, Liberty Tree, Calhan, Kiowa

Out of Regional Contention: CS School, Monument Academy
