Boys Basketball Class 3A Regional Projections Week 11

For my projections I am using the CHSAA Seeding and Selection Index. I am going to be predicting the League Champions. Remember to qualify for Regionals you must be ranked inside the top 32 or win your League (If you have 5 or more teams). At the end I pick the 8 teams I think make it to state based on my projections.

Class 3A

League Champions earn an automatic berth in the playoffs as long as they win their league outright. Each league must have a minimum of 5 teams in it for an automatic berth.
Seeding Criteria for the 32-team state bracket-CHSAA Seeding & Selection Index published after the regular season. Seeds 9-16 are true seeded except to try and avoid league matchups in the First Round Only. Teams may be moved one spot up or down. Seeds 17-32 may be moved up to two spots based upon geography & League matchups.
First Two Rounds of the state tournament (Regionals) will be hosted by the top seed in that quadrant of the bracket, over two days. (4-teams total).
Top 8 teams will advance through the bracket. The bracket Will Not be reseeded before State. Class 3A Great 8 will play a Modified consolation bracket. Teams losing on Thursday will not advance to Friday.

4A/3A/2A Frontier: 4A Team (Fort Lupton)

4A/3A Tri-Peaks League: 4A Team (Lamar)

4A/3A Metro League: 4A Team (Kent Denver)

4A/3A Intermountain: Centauri

4A/3A City League: 4A Team (Denver West)

3A/2A/1A San Juan: 2A Team (Dove Creek)

3A/2A/1A Mile High: 2A Team (Bishop Machebeuf)

3A/2A Foothills League: 2A Team (Loveland Classical)

3A Black Forest League: Peyton (Will not Automatically Qualify)

3A Western Slope: Roaring Fork

3A Patriot League: Resurrection Christian

First Four Out

Estes Park (33), Grand Valley (34), STEM Highlands (35), Thomas MacLaren (36)

I would say if you are not within the top 36 your hopes of reaching regionals are gone barring a huge upset. 29 and up are safe and should all be at regionals. Frontier Academy at #30 is also in good shape at .424 but Frontier Academy has a must-win game against Valley on 2/27. If Frontier Academy falls to Valley, they could tumble and be in danger of missing regionals. Platte Valley sits at .413 and #31. Platte Valley has one final game against Fort Morgan and is a must win game. Platte Valley could jump Frontier Academy, but a win is a must. Ignacio is at #32 and would be the last team in. Ignacio is .at 411 and are still in good shape. Ignacio does not have any games left so will be watching the other teams around them. Estes Park is the main threat at .384 and two games remaining. Estes Park has a huge game against Flatirons Academy on Thursday and could be the game to possibly jump Ignacio. Estes Park will also play Dayspring Christian on 3/1 and is another big game. Grand Valley does have an outside chance at .360 and two games remaining.

Bracket- League matchups will be avoided in the first round only. 8 Regional winners qualifying for state. State will not be re-seeded! And play a Modified consolation bracket!
